If she was sincere when praying to Jesus, I believe He answers. The salvation prayer (there can be several variations) might go something like this..

'Dear Jesus, thank you for dying for me, please forgive me for my sins, and come into my heart now, and give me your gift of eternal life. Help me to share your love with others, in Jesus' name. Amen'

So we need some faith to believe Jesus is real. God knows our hearts. If we ask, we will receive. Now it might be bluster that she talks now as if there was no Jesus, and if that was where her heart was when praying..for whatever reason...how sincere could it be?

Sounds to me like it's saying, "If you just believe, you'll get the things you need to justify your belief."

But the thing about people is that they generally are very eager to accept things which tell them their beliefs are true, so they are willing to take rather flimsy arguments as solid in order to support their beliefs.

When worms reproduce it is not something that involves God creating man. When God forms dust and breathes life into it, that does involve the Almighty.
