Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
King James Version
'Things hoped for' and 'unseen' is not evidence, it is literally wishful thinking in the absence of evidence.

It is basically saying that this belief system considers faith to be 'evidence'. Charitably, it means that faith is evidence of belief without material evidence, or possibly the meaning of the word 'evidence' used there is not what it means today, but in any case, quoting a dubious assertion from a translation of an ancient book isn't an argument and doesn't change the logic of contemporary semantics.

Don't you fear death?
Not really, no - I won't exist. I take the Epicurean and Stoic view. My task is to manage the fear of dying unpleasantly.

Death is nothing to us. When we exist, death is not; and when death exists, we are not. All sensation and consciousness ends with death and therefore in death there is neither pleasure nor pain. The fear of death arises from the belief that in death, there is awareness." Epicurus

Death, like birth, is just a natural process, material elements combining, growing, decaying and finally separating and completely dispersing.” Marcus Aurelius, Meditations IV.5

Wretched indeed is the man who in the course of a long life has not learned that death is nothing to be feared. For death either completely destroys the human soul, in which case it is negligible, or takes the soul to a place where it can live forever, which makes it desirable. There is no third possibility.” Cicero
