• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Forgive me for posting again. I feel nauseated. I feel a weird feeling in my head and I feel little "electric" type shocks through my body. I know it's just me coming off of Abilify. I feel like crying.

I found out they gave my son sugar at school AGAIN! Will have to talk to the principal on Monday. I think this is what has caused his behavior this afternoon.

On top of this if my husband even mentions football this weekend I think I will scream.

Couldn't help LOL about the football, Court! Isn't that a big part of the magic between the sexes... we think you're crazy, you think we're crazy... as well as being one of the main causes of 'disagreements' between us!!!

God bless each of you for showing your kindness to my son and myself and praying for us. We just returned from Urgent Care as Andrew's fever spiked to 104.3 degrees even after a dose of ibuprophen. It looks like its just a virus and they sent us home telling us to rest and drink plenty of fluids. I pray I can keep him in bed tomorrow so he can get better.

Awww, Court. The poor little man. Poor you too, having to deal with this when in the depths of depression. Praying for Andrew to get well very soon. That must have been real scary for you. Let us know how you go and how you are going with your depression. Praying for both of you. You are so strong and brave. God bless you. xx

Will keep praying Court. How are you?

I'm doing okay. Just totally numb. Didn't sleep worth a darn last night and cannot get my son to rest today (and he's still running a high fever) he just won't stay in bed. Heard from his doctor and she is saying lots of fluids and rest.

My doctor finally called (well, his nurse called) and said they won't change or add any medication until I am able to come in and see him. I can't go in until Andrew is better.

Praying for sleep tonight.

Oh wow - that's tough Court. I'm sorry to hear that they can't help you any more than that. Why do so many things always hit us all at once? I often ask that question. But you are so very very strong Court - even if you don't feel it. It must be horrible to be feeling so numb, but a natural reaction to everything. Maybe this is kind of a protection for you? Maybe that is why we do feel numb at certain times when certain things are going on. Just guessing though.

I hope you get some sleep tonight and will pray for you that you do. Also will pray that Andrew settles down, and starts to feel better as well.

Despite everything you are doing so well Court. I guess it is just one moment at a time almost - been there, done it, got the T shirt. But sometimes it is the only way. I know that you will be praying and we are praying with you. Take care Court, and let us know how you go on. Know that we are here for you. God bless you precious sister.

I'm sorry, sweetie, it sounds overwhelming. Sometimes I think that numbness is a gift that helps us get through whenfeelings would swamp us.
Praying that Andrew is better very soon, and that you can see your doc and get some help yourself
Hang in there, sister - God has you and he won't let go

Hi Court. Am in the UK and just got up - came straight here to see if you had posted and how you were doing. Am SOOOO pleased that Andrew was sleeping peacefully as you posted last. I do hope that you got some much needed sleep too.

Praying for a better day for you Court. What a traumatic few days you have had ! You are truly amazing. I know how very hard it has been for you.

I am praying that when you awake and get up, Andrew is feeling much better and that you can attend to your own needs. I pray that this terrible feeling of depression from withdrawing from the drugs will come to an end. I pray that soon they get your meds sorted out and that you can be on an even keel again. I pray for more understanding from your husband.

You are wonderful Court. Thanks for keeping us informed. This too will pass. Let us hope it is soon and that soon you feel much much better. God bless you precious sister, and God bless precious Andrew. xx

What a wonderful friend you are to Court, rowantree. God seems to give special friends to special people, a special affinity with them; people afficted and suffering. You people who, one can scarcely doubt, have been 'men of sorrow and acquainted with suffering,' and can strengthen each other through your love.

God bless you both rowantree and Paul. I love you both.

Andrew was actually up half the night with a bad cough. His eyes are all swollen and he's still running a fever this morning so it will be off to his doctor as soon as they open.

Court, I am so sorry he still has a fever. You must be so worried. Praying that he feels better very soon. Praying for strength for you too. This is a real test of strength for you Court but you are rising to it and you have done so well. Back later to see if there is any news. God bless the both of you. xoxoxoxoxo

Thanks you guys! Andrew's fever seems to have lifted but he still has a nasty cough. It will be a big decision if he goes back to school tomorrow or not. He says he still feels weak but I don't want him to miss if he can help it.

I am still feeling really agitated. I really need sleep. I really need a shower too! (I can't shower while watching Andrew as he gets into things he shouldn't) and I've been so tired lately after he falls asleep that I've just been going straight to bed.

I also had someone message me (don't worry- it's been taken care of) that was really rude- that upset me some.

I have been short with my son and he keeps telling me, "You're mean!" for which I feel like dirt.

Thank you all so much for your kindness and prayers. I do love you guys!
