CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

But I'll answer the question anyhow. I do have trouble talking to young women...I just don't connect. Very rarely anyway. Only a couple times in life have I met a woman around my age who I felt like I can fully trust and be myself around. They make me uncomfortable. This is why I enjoy and prefer the company of older women (both genders actually) and men better.

Them: So how about (insert pro football team here)?
Me: Don't really watch pro football games.
Them : Oh, so do you like hunting?
Me: Not really.
Them: Oh...how about cars?
Me: Not really.
Them: Just what kind of guy are you!?!?
It's not that I don't like sports, it's just everyone around here makes it into this huge deal that seems to consume your life. And if you're not into cars, hunting, and sports well...then you're not a "man"
