Actually, I'm protesting the secular version, "Happy holidays!"
I was watching Bill O'Rielly last night on FOX and he really got me fired up to do something about it. So I thought I would share with you the letter I wrote to my local news paper.

Dear Editor:
Its very simple. What day is December 25th? Why do many people have off from work? Why is the Post Office closed? Its Christmas! Even the Federal government recognizes the day that reads Christmas on most calendars.
Is Christmas soon to be outlawed? My goodness! The cashiers at Walmart and Sears cant wish their customers a Merry Christmas?! The tellers in the mall are forbidden to say Christmas as though it were a four letter word, of course, unless I wish them a happy Christmas first.
Never mind the employees. Youre not going to see any signs proclaiming what December 25th really is. No. Its merely a holiday.
Does it matter that eighty five percent of Americans claim to be Christian? For the fifteen percent that are not, why not put up signs acknowledging their holidays as well but dont ignore the fact that the majority of the country does celebrate December 25th as being Christmas. Whatever happened to freedom of religion? Is religion now unwelcome in the public square? Why are people who supposedly celebrate diversity so opposed to diversity? Why do I, as a Christian feel snubbed in this season that is celebrated world wide?
Christmas maybe folks have just forgotten what the word means: Christ mass, the celebration of Christ.
Well I for one will continue to proudly wish the cashiers, the tellers, the strangers on the street a Merry Christmas, even if they are of a different religious persuasion. Why? Because thats what the day really is.
I wonder if the Quick Stop on Route 32 will light their road side sign up this year, Happy Birthday Jesus? Im going to make it a point to visit the store and encourage them to do so. Bravo to all the business that havent caved in to the secularists!
Right here in America political correctness is sweeping away what is truly meant to be a holy-day not a mere holiday. We have all been invited to His birthday but the Person to be honored hasnt been acknowledged. He has been forgotten like last years unwanted Christmas presents.
