On another subject;

I usually get a word to speak to someone. I obey and ask to talk to the person. As they stand there, I receive words that the Lord wanted me to share.
Or in the case of a forum, I will be given a name to speak to and the words come.

I find it difficult to get words for others that the Lord did NOT ask me to give words to.
If I do, its usually general love words. Nothing that would help them in a specific situation.
Is it because I haven't practiced enough?

I've been praying warfare for months now. Some say we need to use our authority in Christ. Others pray that Jesus does the fighting for us.
I've done and asked for both.

Now, I sits. I sits and waits. I sits and waits for revelation, wisdom and freedom.
I need a smiley sitting on a rock propping her head up...or maybe the statue "thinker" by Rodin

"General love words" sounds good to me!

If you offer those until God says something additional you cannot go wrong!

About the warfare -

It is finished - the enemy is disarmed, but he doesn't want us to know that, because all we need to do is speak out the words that release God's power and those words will effectively stomp on the enemy's head.

When those words are settled within us as realities we can begin to release them and they act for us.

Words are mighty tools and weapons.

You are a blessed daughter of the Most High God, and when you know the power you have you make the enemy tremble, so do not fear.

Do not play at warfare armor up in the full armor of God and take the field do not hesitate or fight to not lose fight to win. Do not be timid for if God is with you who can stand against you?
I do not know if this is the word of God or what I thought of please test the word.

I haven't read those other words, so I don't have any advance knowledge on what may have been spoken to you before. That is good, because I can just depend solely on what comes to me for you.

Let not the mighty man glory in his might; nor let the wise man glory in his wisdom; but those who glory let them glory in this: that they know and understand the Lord. The knowledge of the Lord comes through daily fellowship with Him where you honestly and openly share your personal thoughts with Him. It is there that you develop your trust in Him and your understanding of His ways increases.

The Lord has His ways, and He leads us to know them. We learn to know them through the experiences we have as we walk with Him in our daily lives. Walking in the light suggests that as we are in the light with Christ we are moving in the direction which He is going. The light does not stand still; it moves along with Christ in the way that He is going. To stay in the light, we need to keep close to Christ - to understand and obey the things that He is speaking to us and showing us.

There are times when you hear the inner voice saying "This is the way, walk in it." and you know clearly the direction you are to take. There are many other times when the direction is unclear and you have to use your previous knowledge and experience to guide you. Be like Mary the mother of Jesus. When He speaks His word to you, store those things up in your heart so that in the day of darkness where there is no guiding light, you can draw upon the inner wisdom that those words have provided for you.

Me too, if you don't mind, in particularly about guidance for next year.

Concerning guidance on what you should do, the brief on the prophetic that the Lord has given me does not include that. I think specific guidance should come from your quiet time with the Lord where you pray and read God's Word. I believe that your directions for next year will come from there and that they will unfold as you take steps of faith and obedience in what you know already. But let's see what comes to me otherwise:

Know that the Lord is really there, within earshot of your voice; and He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. If you seek Him with all your heart, He will be found of it. You don't have to try and go up into Heaven to find the Lord; nor do you have to burrow down into the earth to find Him there. Also, you don't have to go to any specific place or city to find Him. There are people who believe that the Lord lives specially in a particular church, temple, or geographic location; but they are deceived. The Lord is nigh you, even in your heart.

Have you not learned that the very kingdom of God is right inside you? Why do you have to go seeking for the Lord in another place when His presence is right where you are?
Therefore, seeking the Lord with all your heart means that you are going to get quiet within yourself, read the Word, and share with Him your dreams, ideas, concerns, petitions and ambitions. As you pour out your heart to the Lord in honesty, openness and sincerity, you will be coming closer to knowing and understanding what the will of God is for your life. As He hears your voice a lot in prayer to Him, you will begin to hear His voice as He speaks to you.

The Lord is speaking to you continuously. It is because you need to recognise His voice when He speaks to you that is important. It is like the disciples on the road to Immaeus, when Jesus joined them and spoke to them. They did not recognise Him. We can have the Lord inside of us, and all around us and much of the time we do not recognise Him, because His voice can be confused with all the other voices of the world that are around us.

But the Lord is able to bring to you a place where you can clearly hear and recognise His voice. It is by faith, experience, and practice that you learn to discern His voice among all the others. Remember that His voice carries love, joy and peace with it. There is a goodness in His voice that gives you assurance and confidence in Him.

Therefore seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near, because as you seek Him in prayer and through His Word in secret, He will reward you openly in such ways as will rejoice your heart and make your soul glad in Him.

There is a way that seems right to a person, but that way is death. You are encountering people who are certain that the way they are taking is the right way for success in their lives, but the end of that way is spiritual death for them, and, in some cases will result in physical death for them.

The Lord has called you to show them the right way to life. Jesus said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no person comes to the Father but by Me."

These people will come to you and ask you for your advice. You are to boldly and clearly show them the ways of the Lord and the paths of life for them. They may not like it, and you may lose some friendships through the things you say, but you will be the means of saving the lives of many.

Do not let your fears limit you. Overcome your fear of rejection, by knowing that the Lord accepts you fully, and will give you faithful people around you who will accept you as freely and fully as the Lord Himself accepts you.

The time to speak is now. Let your voice raise itself boldly, and as you are not ashamed to speak of Jesus and His love for others, then the Lord will not be ashamed of you on that great Day when you meet Him face to face.

The Lord rejoices over those who walk uprightly before Him and who confess His Name before others. In times when you will not know what to say, the Lord will be there with you and will give you the words of wisdom that will be the means of salvation to those who listen to you and accept your words. Be not afraid of the faces of those who reject you, because they are not rejecting you, they are rejecting the Lord whom you are representing, and the Lord will reward them according to their choices.

But those who hear your words of love and grace in the Lord, and who will be saved from spiritual death through them, will rejoice with you in the coming times and ages because you were faithful to what the Lord commanded you.

I didn't expect to say it like that when I started. When I got the seed thought I thought 'good grief' how is that going to be applied? But as the word formed around the theme, then I could see the direction in which the word was going. Therefore I offer this word to you in complete faith. I know nothing of your circumstances. If this has been helpful then praise God for His goodness.

Would someone be willing to pray for me?

I am dealing with warfare and would love to get some guidance from the Lord.

I wasn't going to respond to this because others have responded and I didn't wish to intrude on what others were getting for you. However, I got prompted and I do need to share it with you. Sometimes the Lord does that - He prompts us to do something that we originally planned not to do.

The weapons of your warfare are not of this world, but are mighty through God for pulling down the devil's strongholds, and casting down imaginations and fantasies, and brings every thought into obedience to the will of Christ.

The battle that you are fighting is not yours but the Lord's. You do not see it but there is a spiritual battle in the heavenlies raging around you. The sense of warfare that you sense is the effect of it in your spirit. But it is not a warfare against you, but it is being fought by the armies of the Lord on your behalf.

Stand still, rest in the Lord, and you will see the glory of God arise in victory over your circumstances. You are already victorious in Christ, and the result of the present warfare is certain, and you will see the effects of God's victory for you in times to come.

In quietness and confidence shall be your strength, while the Lord fights for you. Therefore stand fast in the Lord, and having done all you can in your natural state, continue standing in faith and love, knowing that through faith and patience you will inherit what God has promised you.

Jesus told me in June to tear down all imaginations that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and to take every thought captive to Him.

Recently He told me to be strong ...to stand.

I FORGOT all about the first part!

Strangely, I wasn't even praying today, when I suddenly thought of taking my thoughts to Christ. I didn't put much thought in it.


You've reminded me of what my journey is all about.

Your word was also consistent with the words I received from others. God uses many vessels to make His point. We all see different parts of the same elephant.

Oscarr is a great teacher of the prophetics. I didn't have the courage to try, thinking it would cause harm rather than good...
Most people will leave it if they don't get rhema. I've learned to simply be obedient.
Since you felt led...you were obedient.

I wasn't meaning to add to anything you said, or to correct you.

What I do want to say to you is that you had the right seed thought from the Spirit, but I think that you might have been hesitant to say everything that was coming to you. My advice to you is that once you have the prophetic seed thought, then type it, and then keep typing as the flow of thought comes to your mind. You will find that other thoughts will come to build on your first statement. When it is time to finish the prophecy, you will get a sense of completion. If your thoughts stop, and you don't have a sense of completion, just wait for a few seconds and more thoughts will come.

The other thing I want to say to you is not to allow your natural mind to try and interpret your prophesy as you type it. That can block the prophetic flow. Just type what comes to your mind. You can read it over after you have finished. As long as your prophecy is in harmony with Scripture then you will be okay. If you are unsure of anything you have said, do what I do: add a postscript in brackets and explain to the subject person that what you said was in faith and obedience even if you don't understand how it could apply to the person.

It is not the impact that is on you when you give the prophecy. You might be feeling like a damp limp fish while you are giving it. It is the impact that is on the receiver of the word. I am simply blown away after receiving very positive feedback over a prophecy that I gave which my natural mind was quite worried about. I was right in the middle of another prophecy when my wife's sewing machine got jammed, so in the middle of the prophecy, I went and unjammed it for her. Then I came back to the computer and finished the prophecy. It was marvellous when the subject person fed back to me what a comfirmation that prophecy was.

You see, it's not whether we feel spiritual, or are in a spiritual environment when we give the prophecy. It is being obedient to the thoughts and impressions that come from the Holy Spirit for the person. We are rarely conscious that it actually is the Holy Spirit speaking when we give prophecies. But the confirmation that it was the Spirit comes when the subject person comes back to you and tells you how relevant the prophecy was to him or her.

I just marvel how the grace of God works in these prophetic times on the forum. It just confirms to me how thoroughly the Lord approves of giving prophetic words over the forum. In the time I have been giving prophetic words, it has been absolutely phenomenal how many have been so accurate, and yet I had given so many that I thought that I had run out of ideas - yet with the next prophecy there is a totally different flow of thought just like it was when I gave my first prophecy.

I think that the Lord loves to encourage His people. I just love this ministry!!!! And the people I minister to.

So I want to encourage you. Have greater confidence in the thoughts that come to you when you ask the Lord for an encouraging word for someone. Let the thoughts flow and type them down. Then you will see the goodness and grace of God operating through your gift. There is nothing like it!!!

The joy of the Lord is your strength. There is a joy that starts deep down inside of you when you are aware that Jesus is with you and the Holy Spirit is inside of you leading you in the paths of the will of God for you. There is a special joy in knowing that you are in the will of God for your life because there is a wonderful security in knowing that.

There is a secure foundation in God. The Lord knows those who are His. He gives you all sorts of signs and impressions to assure you that He knows and loves you. It is a beautiful thing to be unfolded in the arms of God's love. The Holy Spirit within you makes you aware of His love as you walk your daily walk with Him.

This makes it possible to bear the sticks and stones that others throw at you. You have what is like a shield, because those sticks and stones cannot really hurt you deep down because the love of God within you sustains you and keeps you assured that God is your strengh and a very present help in time of trouble and need. Therefore you can stand your ground and laugh at trouble and strife because you know that God is your Father and protector.

You are correct. I did not say that what I was giving you was a prophetic word. I wasn't going to respond at all, because I didn't (and still don't) believe that you were genuinely asking for a word from the Lord with the same attitude that others would ask for a word.

I believe this because you have maitained a very strong position (which you have every right to do) that the Holy Spirit does not inspire personal prophecy or any other type of prophecy outside of a formal church assembly.

Now I don't believe that for a minute, and neither does many other people on this forum, and there is no amount of words that you can say that will change their minds. So you need to accept that.

Therefore, it wouldn't make any difference what was said to you - even if the Lord Jesus typed it Himself - you would not believe it or accept it in any way.

What I did type out was II Peter 1:3-11 from the TEV. I was not intending to lie to you about it, because the Lord gave me that scripture last night as I was reading through the book, and when you asked me for the word, I felt prompted to give you that passage.

What I wanted to do was to see if you could recognise the difference between a prophecy and a passage of Scripture.

Now you said, and the record of it is on this thread for all to see, that you used the gift of discernment of spirits and stated that what I had typed was not from the Holy Spirit. The reason you gave was that it did not witness with you.

Of course, it was not meant to witness to you, because I knew full well that it would not. But your 'gift of discerning' did not pick up that it was part of the Word of God itself.

This would give me and everyone else reading this thread a reasonable doubt as to whether what you are getting from your 'gift of discerning of spirits' is actually reliable, or whether you are dressing up your own opinions by attaching them to a spiritual gift.

I never say that my words are from God, and I never say that I am using the gift of prophecy. All I say is that I feel prompted to say something to a person. I allow that person to determine for themselves whether the word registers with them or not.

Now you may believe in yourself that prophecy can only operate in the Spirit in a formal church setting, but you have absolutely no right to come on this forum and dictate to others what is essentially your own personal belief.

It is the moderators of this forum who decide whether prophecy is appropriate here, and to date they have given their full support for it. Therefore, to come on here and dictate to others that prophecy does not operate here is going against the moderators, every person experienced in the prophetic, and those people who have received the words and been blessed by them.

I leave it to the others who read and contribute to this thread whether the prophecies that are typed here are from the Holy Spirit for them.

Oscar we Love you and we are so very glad you are willing to step forward in Love and use your God given gift to edify total strangers. It takes your time and there is no rewards but that of knowing you are obident to God and using what He has given you. You are and have been a good example of a deciple of Christ who is willing to use their gift. Oscar as i was out walking this morning i walked past an apple tree and i noticed that the healthy apples were shinning in the sun and the light reflected off them and then i looked down at the rotten apples as they lay in the shadow and were withered and rotten and sadness came over me knowing they were once on the tree and shinning in the sun. Dont let anyone discourage you Oscar, you my brother are a shinning apple who is shinning the light of the Son. Peace and Love and may you continue to be obident to God in the use of your gift.
