Well, if you're not forcing it, you're more apt to be led of the Spirit. I think thats' why people get messed up; if they aren't getting anything, they force it, and it ends up just coming out of their own imagination. If God gives me something okay, but I'm really careful of saying thus saith the Lord.I'm not real sure any of the moderators have looked it over yet. It could be that they would want to watch it a while first. It could be that they smoke it as soon as they spot it too!
I did want to clarify a little bit. Just because we are practicing these specific things does not mean we can't have discussion going to. I think discussion in addition to giving words and biblically judging them will help us all to learn and use our gifts better.
For instance, Zzub gave a prophetic word and I gave a judgment of that word. We can all discuss those things all we want or feel is needful, but Zzub is not allowed to give another prophecy until he has directly judged somebody else's, and I cannot judge another word until I've stepped out and given a prophetic word myself.
Of course every since I started the thread I've been praying and praying and I'm gettin nothing, nada, zip! I think I have stage fright!!
Actually, you're right on both counts. Preaching is also done by the Holy Spirit, and shouldn't be preached any other way. I can't even preach unless it's by the anointing of the Holy Ghost. But, I have a prophetic anointing on my preaching. I don't even understand someone trying to preach off the top of their head, any more than giving a word off the top of their head.
Zzub's was totally harmless and could have been for anyone, so I doubt anyone will have a problem with it. If he had said it it was God's will to marry so and so, or take so and so job, or move to so and so city, yeah that would be dangerous if someone obeyed, and it ended up not being God. Those are the kind of prophsies I would watch out for. Anything thats' harmless and won't get the person in trouble if they do it, isn't going to hurt them.

I don't recall what your's was, but my spirit didn't go off in a negative way, so I'm sure it was fine. So far, God's been protecting this thread, and everything is peaceful. Let's pray it stays that way.
