I agree. The primary lession we learned in our Prophetic Equipping Days is that we do not deal with hatches, matches, and dispatches. These type of prophecies have all sorts of fish hooks in them, and they can come back and bite you if things go wrong. Some prophetic ministries have been totally destroyed because these types of prophecies were given. A person with the gift of prophecy is no a personal horoscope for those who have difficulties communicating with the Lord in their private times.

spiritlead those around you need even more than the words God has given you to teach them. They need to see your heart in all things you do. Yes you teach them about Love but put an extra effort into them not only hearing but seeing and feeling Love. God has blessed you greatly and now you must constantly work toward matching your actions with Gods Word. God has given me to remind you and to seal in your mind and heart 1Cor.13:4-7 as a gauge in your actions around those who God has placed in your care. May God be with you in all you do. Brother it is all the small things. A young donkey to young to have served any man once stood tied to a street corner became the servent who carried the Son of God into Jerusalum which lead to the salvation of the world. We today dont have to be the greatest, wealthest, or a leader, we dont have to be anything all we must be is ready at all times to at a moments notice to carry the Son of God, Jesus Christ into the lives of others in the world however and to whomever and to wherever God so guides us. Whatever we do or dont do in our lives we need to strive to at the very least be as obident as that young donkey tied at the street corner and be ready to carry Christ to whoever,wherever and to whomever God guides us to.

It also needs to be pointed out that upon the top of the back of every generation of donkey--ass is found the mark of a cross. A gift from the Lord of Lords to all generations of servents.

Ok, I didn't want to ask initially but was wondering if anyone has word for me with regards to what career path to take.. or is that too specific for a question? career then ? i am kinda confused at the moment where to turn.. some words would be really appreciated..

I think the thing we must ask ourself is where and how can i serve the Lord to the greatest capacity. Where can i shine the Love of Christ the greatest and touch those lost. How can God use me ?? am i making myself available for God to use me. Will the profession i enter place myself in the position to serve God. You need to look at it as a servent and not as a person of the world. now what did i mean by that statement ?? what i mean is that i can make more money driving a truck and i really enjoy it however reality is how many people can i actually shine the light of Christ to in that profession. i choose to be a case worker for people with disability because it places me in the position to shine Christs Love to a much larger group of people who have much greater needs. As servents of the Lord we need to look at and place ourselves where we can be used as a servent to the largest population of people who need Christs Love.
Examine yourself openly and see what God given attributes God has given you to help and or bring Christ to others and then work at placeing yourself into the position so God can use you as a servent. God will use you if you live as a servent and put aside personal desires. that which at first will seem as a sacrifice but in truth there will be great rewards along the path with the greatest reward at the end of that path.

That should be a 24/7 thing, not something that comes and goes.

This may or may not be a good idea, but like all the other gifts that God gives, the prophetic gifting needs to be practiced in order to be better used. In my opinion, it is not that the gift gets any better with practice, but that the person practicing gets better and better at staying out of the way of the gift.

Therefore, lets try and step out here endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit.

I suppose the biblical model must be our model too, in that one person may offer up what they think is a word and it is to be judged by others. That will take a whole truck load of humility for the ones giving as well as the ones judging. For that reason I do not think it would be fair for people to judge without also stepping out and giving words to be judged, so that should be a rule then. If you give a word you must wait for it to be judged and you must judge another's word before you can give a word again. (And visa-versa).

If it becomes clear that other rules are helpful I will add them to this post and post a notice on the thread as well.

Finally, and most importantly, if the moderating staff feels that this is just a bad idea for peace and harmony to the forum, please delete this thread immediately and accept my apologies. I mean this purely for edification, exhortation, and comfort.

You may be thinking of the wrong definition of "practice" than how the OP was/is using the word. If you are thinking of "practice" in terms of working at something to get "better" at it, I don't believe that is the correct meaning intended. I believe the OP was referring to the "exercising" or "putting to use" form of "practice".

What would be wrong with getting better at it?If I hand you a sword, would I be right then demanding that you must be perfect at weilding it?That wouldn't make much sense would it?

But sadly we get beat down, discouraged, and tired from swinging the sword and it sadly seems to take a bump in our life to get us refired up. I think thats why God made it so clear we need to edify one another, if more edifying went on our strength and fight would be 24 / 7 but instead we bicker and argue and take each other down doing just the oppisite of whats Gods will.

we should practice for the same reason to practice anything, in order to get better at it to get stronger. When we practice listening to God's voice we here it better we know when He speaks we know when He tells us to hold our tounge. only when He can trust us in small things does He trust us with bigger things.

Like the voice of the piper who the children follow. So shall your voice be heard by the children God will give you to serve. When they here your voice they will gather at your feet content to hear, attention drawn. It is then when your God given talent has captured their attention that you will present Christ to them many for there first time. Many have parents who dont know Christ you will be their first connection to Christ. So hold your head up high and let your gift sing for it was given with purpose.
