CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

yes but prophecy isnt. It is given according to His will not ours. John didnt pray for revelation, it was given at God's time

The fruits of the words we speak are reconizable without prayer. If you were asking your brother for a needed word from God to encourage and edify i will pray and if its Gods will then God will use me or someone else as a vessel, but if you are asking me to prove to you that God speaks to, answers and hears our prayers this has been proven for thousands of years.
For those ridden with doubt and disbelief even when the gift of prophecy is proven their next response will be calling the person with the gift a psychic rather than admit to error that the gift is real and from God.
the fruits of prophecy and healing and tounges destroys many false doctrines and because of this many will stand even in the face of Truth and continue to deny the Truth to preserve their worldly false doctrines.
I have wondered how one could say they believe in Jesus Christ and yet deny the belief in prophecy and healing when Christ clearly states these gifts will continue in His name.

Hi Chris what ever gifts i have been given, seemed to be given when i unknowingly helped who i believe to have been an angel he had no arms nor legs and hadnt spoke his whole life i helped him for about a year and became very close friends with him when i moved away he smiled and told me he would walk up to me and shake my hand in heaven from that day forward i was able to propheticly paint , write poetry, had visions as well as given warnings and hear Gods voice.
I will pray for you Chris and if its Gods Will maybe He will give me something to share with you. Peace and Love !! Rod

Christs Love is for now and for always. Through all times and all difficulties. Christ shows kindness no matter what the circumstance. Christ is continually raising us up as if we were mountians touching the sky. Christ never thinks bad of us. even when the world is looking down on us Christ searches our hearts for good. Christ shows us with silence when wrongs are done and squezzes our hearts when right is done. Drawing us a line of learning to guide us in our walk. Christ has mountians of patience with us even when those mountians seem snow covered. Christ believes in us when all others disbelieve. Christs hope for us is never fading , enduring for all time even when others have given up on us Christs Love remains forever. Christ Loves you Steven these words mean little compared to the hands that now and for always are holding your heart Steven. As you look around you at the trees think about this. When that giant of a tree which has withstood winds , storms and all kinds of abuse think how it started out so small and fragile where so much as a foot steping on it would have killed it, it could have been washed out it could have been eaten so many things could have happened but that tree stretched towards the sun and sank its tap root deeper and deeper into the ground tell it found water and was nurished.
Once this was done it had half the battle won it growed quickly and now stands tall and strong able to withstand so much.
You see Chris we are much like that little tree when we first turn to Christ our spirit is quickened and we must sink ourselves into the Water Gods Word, prayer and guidence by the Holy Spirit.
In doing so we are nurished and we grow and grow and become stronger and stronger and the things that used to tear us down as we mature we are able to with stand just as the tree sways in the wind and yet stands tall so do we once we have sunk ourself into Gods Word we learn about Love , Faith , obidence, hope and so , so much more.
Gods word becomes a friend that stands with us, a father that guides and corrects. and as a mother that nurtures.
