I thought it might be helpful for you lot to have it explained in really simple terms. Perhaps it wasn't simple enough =X

The only thing it explains is how a certain segment of the population chooses to accept it as the cause. It doesn't actually prove anything. There are other people out there with different valid viewpoints.

I would like to see something scientific demonstrating how the current explanation for the phases of the moon don't line up with what is actually happening. Does something like that exist?

Like the previous poster, I've noticed anomalies as well. Most of the time, a correlation between the portion of the moon being illuminated and the position of the sun makes sense, but other times, there seems to be no correlation at all. And just like him, it makes me curious as well.

So, yes, reasons to question the current theory exists. Maybe you just haven't been paying attention to the sky enough to notice it for yourself.

I hope you're intelligent enough to realize that even if at the moment you can't comprehend how the phases work that they actually do work.

I am.. I am also intelligent enough to comprehend that even though I don't know how a Baltimore Oriole can build it's intricate nest.. without any instruction.. but... it builds it.

If the phases of the moon did not line up with the way the sun and moon are in relation to each other, then it would be obvious to anyone with a basic education in astronomy. Notice you won't find a single paper anywhere showing that they don't line up.

I think most just are taught it.. and it seems to fit.. so they go with it... I think you are also right though... is someone noticed something was a bit off.. they won't go there. There is nothing good that is going to come of it for them.

And I hope you aren't about to fall back on your, "Well of course there isn't they would be laughed at!" excuse. That's getting older than refraction.

Oh, refraction... that concept that allows the sun to be fully risen while there's still a total lunar eclipse? Or .. refraction... .that concept that allows people to see Chicago from the other side of the lake.... "That"
refraction?

If the phases didn't line up with the sun/moon rotations, that would not be able to be kept a secret, period.
I don't think that the masses ever take any time to think of it.. and those that would notice... are not going to say boo.... if they did notice anything.

All the science models (a still earth with a sphere moon) just shows the typical science illustration. They can not make a model that will show a rotating earth and a sun lit moon working like is seen in the sky.

Does not match the real moon, it is kind of close, close enough to fool people.

I see a spherical moon that is partially illuminated.

At 4:13 the truth is actually told, after a few minutes of the lies to keep the ones believing the lies brain washed.

So why does the sun rise and set in different places and at different places as the year progresses? Give me a plausible reason based on the known laws of physics. You can't. I can and it does not involve a flat earth.

The sun moves in the summer for my area closer to the area. As winter approaches the sun moves further south. I would guess the equator is the dividing line.

During the summer the sun is on the north side of the equator during the winter the sun moves toward the south side of the equator

You didn't even come close to answering the question. Explain for me how the known laws of physics cause that to happen. Be thorough and exact --- invoke mathematics if you wish.

Your math is good for building a bridge or a building etc.. but for describing the working of Gods creation it fails.

That is why (at least one reason) the false creation, created by scientist exist, in a way, so scientist can still use their science to deceive people into thinking they have the answers to Gods creation.

So look to us we know the creation and how it works, do not believe the Bibles witness.

Stars Spin in Direction Differently in the Far Northern Hemisphere than They Do inI

the Far Southern Hemisphere.

love this post, although talk of spinning makes me feel I need lie down
Ronq3V.gif

It is worth taking note that one can prove the Earth is a sphere by the fact that we can see the stars spinning in one direction on the Northern Hemisphere and yet we can see the stars spinning in the opposite direction on the Southern Hemisphere. You can contact people in these different hemispheres and get them to record footage for you (without letting them know your intentions to prove a round or flat Earth).

There is actually a more simpler way to check this without contacting a bunch of people if you like. Try spinning while you stand (either on ice or with your own two feet on the ground).

giphy.gif

Take one of your hands and point to the direction of where you are going to spin while you are on your two feet.

Look up at the ceiling (as you spin).

article-1376920-0BA1591F00000578-39_964x572.jpg

and visualize an imaginary clock on the ceiling above you as you spin.

projection-wall-clock-projector-ceiling-clock-analog-wall-projection-clock.jpg

Keep your hand pointing in the direction of the spin as you do this. Do you notice the imaginary clock spinning clock wise or counter clock wise?

Make a mental note to yourself if you see that the direction of your spin matches the hands of an analog clock going forward or backwards.

mentalnotes3-300x225.jpg

Now, look down:

a-man-taps-his-feet-while-waiting-for-something-personal-pov-looking-down_n1gfg7wzl__S0000.jpg

Keep your hand in the same direction pointing (where you kept the same spin of direction from before):

teen-girl-hand-pointing-gun-picture-id917024002

Now star spinning on your two feet again or spin while you ice skate:

loop6.0.gif

Important Note: Please keep your hand towards the same direction you pointed from the previous spin.

Now, imagine an imaginary analog clock at your feet as you spin.

clock.jpg

Does the hands of the clock move clock wise or counter clock wise as you spin in the same direction as when you looked up at the ceiling?

If you did the experiment correctly, you will notice that the hands of the imaginary clock in your mind on the ceiling would be different than when you looked down at your imaginary analog clock on the ground.

This is the same reason why stars spin in different directions when looking at them in the Northern hemisphere vs. the Southern hemisphere.

I hope this helps somebody today.

May God bless you all.

With loving kindness to you in Christ,

Sincerely,

~ J.

Oddly enough. I have already stated that the phases look odd to me.

So, coincidentally, the other night, the 19th or 20th.. which is a couple of nights past the "new moon".

The moon is only a little sliver... Which means the sun is illuminating all the rest that we cannot see.

By the app in my phone this would mean that it was 6% illuminated or 18% illuminated, depending on the day.

By these figures this means that 94% of the illuminated moon, or 82% of the illuminated moon, is facing away from me.

Problem is... the moon was high in the sky and the sun had set.

It was difficult enough when the moon was at half phase and the sun had set.. But now the moon is just a sliver.

In order for the other side of the moon to be receiving light from the sun.. It should be quite visible to me.

The sun would have to be on the opposite side of the moon in order to illuminate 96% or 82% of the other side of it.

Look, the moons phases change pretty fast.. It happens over and over in our lives..

Please take the time to step outside and take a look.. Tell me that the phases just don't line up or not..

Yes, they are close... To a person who just says.."Yep, looks legit".. the phases seem on track..

But take a good look... they are off..

Not the only thing off. January 2019 there was a documented clockwise rotation of the moon face over the course of a few hours, and a similar, but counter-clockwise face rotation back in 2017.

The earth isn't what we are told it is, and the moon isn't either. Beginning to think the 'experts' don't actually know anything other than how to practice equations.

I agree.. And, now, with the availability of high powered telescopes and cameras people are looking at things for themselves that they took verbatim from others before.. and seeing some question marks out there.
