Right -- I have several IDs
My voter registration, not my ID, is proof of my right to vote.
Of course they did, if they didn’t oppose vindictive stupidity they wouldn’t be worth voting for.You can definitely say that Democrats made every effort to impede his approach or outright eliminate it through court rulings.
I'm sorry...you aren't required to bring your registration documents with you to vote in your state, do they?
Actually since the last financial crisis more illegal immigrants have left the US than arrived.
"they" who?
Of course they did, if they didn’t oppose vindictive stupidity they wouldn’t be worth voting for.
Voting officials in your state/county/district.
I already did.Sure....I know you believe in the rhetoric.
You made a truth claim about sustainability though.....
Can you explain what you mean or not?
Of course they did, if they didn’t oppose vindictive stupidity they wouldn’t be worth voting for.
You need to be a citizen to voteYou need to register to vote, and you need ID to register... but you don't need ID to vote.
Similarly, you need a license to drive a car, and you need to take a road test to get the license... but you don't need to take a road test every time you get behind the wheel...
Even with Trump, the over-whelming super-majority of Latinos voted DemI’m pretty sure that asylum seekers will agree with anything you put in front of them to get to stay.
What do you want them to assimilate to? My understanding of American culture is that there is no one culture, rather it's an amalgamation of many cultures that interact with one another. The thing that assimilate to is a society that celebrates its differences and who they contribute to the whole. The idea that people need to submit and assimilate to the white majority went out the window as racial discrimination has been the practice for the majority of American history. As long as people follow the US Constitution, the notion that people need to change to your definition of American is essential an un-American attitude.Even with Trump, the over-whelming super-majority of Latinos voted Dem
Dems view the US Constitution as "not absolute" (recent quote), i.e. "relative"
The very same people, who (technically) break and enter into the country illegally -- not respecting the littlest of the laws of the land...
do not really respect the highest of the laws of the land, either
They may well be (understandably) agreeing with "whatever you're putting in front of their faces"
But it's not (current, official, on the books) US Law & Order
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Moreover, you're saying that Latinos want to assimilate with us Americanos and gringos
And we were both about to assimilate with each other
Until you guys came along, and started persuading everyone with your own powerful personal rhetoric about Identity Politics, Identity Socialism, and the heinous white supremacist history of the US
So, although you all are saying Latinos want to assimilate into US culture, you all yourselves are making that impossible, with your own Identity Politics rhetoric
How could Latinos want to assimilate, when you yourself have persuaded everyone, that America is a systemically racist, white supremacist country, which has long downtrodden the very Latinos, who were just about to assimilate a few minutes ago, up until you yourself piped up and convinced them not to?
How is it, that Latinos will assimilate, while you & yours are telling them not to? That it would be morally evil and absurdly foolish to do so?
You are sure there will be assimilation... but "which way" ?
You read what I said?As long as people follow the US Constitution
So you agree, they are not assimilating? What do you want them to assimilate to?
How does denigrating one whole vast ethnic culture as heinously systemically racist:My understanding of American culture is that there is no one culture, rather it's an amalgamation of many cultures that interact with one another. The thing that assimilate to is a society that celebrates its differences and who they contribute to the whole.
You need to be a citizen to vote
To become a citizen, you must pass a Constitution test
The US Constitution is not absolute, it was never intended to be. That's why there is a Bill of Rights and the ability to change the document through ratification of amendments. That's just basic US history. You read what I said?
Again, you guys are the ones claiming the US Constitution is "not absolute"
It's ok to follow the Constitution, in a "kinda sorta relative" type of way?
If you get credit, for promoting what you actually oppose, can I apply for benefits from the same double standard?
What's with not answering the question? What are you referring that people are (or not) assimilating to?So you agree, they are not assimilating?
How does denigrating one whole vast ethnic culture as heinously systemically racist:
- promote interaction
- celebrate differences
- contribute to the whole
Again, you guys are the ones claiming the US Constitution is "not absolute"
You read what I said?
Again, you guys are the ones claiming the US Constitution is "not absolute"
We've got 27 amendments that prove it's not.
What do you have?
