How many of us here would be honest and say we are afraid of the man? There are so many in Churches and online (even here in wonderul CF world) who seem to have nothing better to do than throw him down and declare he is next to Satan because of something(s) he has done in the past.

Here's where I'm going with this, how many of us have ever sinned before? How many of us before we knew Christ were less than perfect or moral? How many of us now that we know Christ are still less than perfect or moral?

If Jesus can forgive and forget our past then why can't we who dare declare we are filled with the Holy Spirit do the same for another who we may never see or talk to ever in life? It is time we stop spreading negativeity about the man, whether true or not, and lift him up to the Lord for wisdom, guidance, courage, blessing, and repentance. As well as other world leaders who we may fall under.

I have nothing against the MAN Barack Obama, but I am very against what he stands for. Abortion, Gay Marriage, and other assorted liberal views are against Christianity.

Ditto. I pray for the man from a salvation standpoint, but his agenda is quite evil. I certainly cannot support his actions or his beliefs in any way.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, [2] for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. [3] For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, [4] who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Do you mean freedom to choose abortion or gay marriage? It's not like he is making Michelle have an abortion nor is he wanting a divorce to marry a man. He simply thinks that people should have the choice legally.

Simply Put said:
Jesus forgives and forgets our sins after we confess them and repent.

When anyone, including the President, does that we certainly should do the same. I'm not aware that he has.

Since its done in secret, we will never know when anyone has asked for forgiveness.. and therefor should forgive everyone.

I think that people have a right to look at the fruit of the leadership over their country and have an opinion and a say on how they run a country. That has nothing to do with saying said leadership is "satan".

His leadership is not Godly - he believes in gay marriage, he believes in abortion, he supports removing the right to speak of Christianity in many instances, and he says the country is not a Christian Nation, along with a number of other things - those aren't in the past - those are present day items. His fruits are not Godly

I fail to understand why people get so upset over it. There are a number of people who Perhaps part of it is those whom are in the army/military or those who have children in it whom are overly sensitive? That's what I've noticed. It doesn't bother me at all if someone says something nasty about my Prime Minister, even though I like him. I really wish people would not get so riled up about these things :(

One of the great things about the USA is our freedom of speech. When someone, especially one who "leads" in actions and thought, publically announces what he/she believes is good and approves of, "We The People" also should have the freedom to reply whether we agree and believe it's a good position, or disapprove believing it's evil.

To try to stifle people into silence if they don't agree with a leader's position is the communist way and our troops have fought too hard and given their lives for our right to speak up.

Personally it's my belief when a Christian has opportunity to take a side for goodness and the Lord or evil we should swallow our pride, rush to God's side and expose the evil.

God Blessed this country and to sit back and watch as evil takes over is not what we are suppose to do. Yes we are suppose to pray for our leaders for wisdom and guidance, but we are not to follow them when they go against what God has told us to do. They are legislating sin and we are not to sit back and do nothing. Telling the facts as they are is not speaking against our leaders. What they are doing is wrong and us sitting back and accepting it as 'we are suppose to pray for our leaders' is how other nations have fallen. The problem is not enough people know what their government is doing to them now - that is how they get into power. We need to pray for Christian leaders.

To question his policies is not throwing him under the bus, nor is addressing the fact that he seems to be a liar who is willing to take credit when in good light and use the standard "I just heard about it on the news the same day as you". Benghazi is a mess, the IRS is a mess, the DOJ is a mess, so one has to question his leadership, and if you read in the Bible, things leaders did in the OT were described, both good and bad.

Yes. They all deserve prayer, no matter what the party, to make wise, fair, and moral decisions. Politics are all corrupt, any way you slice it.

There is a difference between describing what happened as a matter of history and going from one place to another berating the person and telling others to not listen to them.

I believe it's ok to talk about and question policies and such but to call the man names and berate him (which many of us do), using pictures of apes and comparing him and his wife to them (I've seen it), etc., is ungodly and disrespectful behavior toward not only him but his office. Samuel revealed David's sins but he never disrespected David's position as King. He did not make up flyers and have them distributed throughout the land telling over and over and over again Davids sins and telling the people they should not listen to anything David said 'cause he had sinned.

Scripture tells us that those in authority have been put there by God. We don't have to respect the decisions a leader makes. But we are required to respect their position.
Romans 13:1-3 says, "Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. For the authorities do not strike fear in people who are doing right, but in those who are doing wrong. Would you like to live without fear of the authorities? Do what is right, and they will honor you."

1 Timothy 2:1 First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Do I find him likeable. Absolutely not. Am I Democrat. Absolutely not. I prefer to spend my time defending the rights of our military veterans and their families, the right to own whatever is within reason to protect their families from harm. The right to their much needed health care. There are 600,000 veterans registered for disability claims and that number is increasing. I can't stand the rights of politicians to maintain their salaries even after serving in office. I can't stand their personal, protected health care plans that have nothing at all to do with the condition of today's health reform. They don't even fall under the same requirements. My prayer is that God will disable their ability to control and that they soon learn to respect America and stop socialism from digging its paws into our hard earned money, our homes, our families. It's not being prejudiced, it's being real and honest.
