Pregnant Ladies... let's chat!

Tomorrow should be interesting!
I have my Dr. appt, then a hair appt, AND my baby shower.
If this membrane sweep works right away, I may be having contractions at the hair salon!!

Guess we'll find out!

Hey Ladies,
So I may be starting labour - I woke up at 3am-ish with cramping and pain, so much so that I couldn't sleep and got up went downstairs to walk around and threw in a movie.
That really didn't help...they weren't contractions that I could time, it was just constant pressure and discomfort all through my uterus, and bizarrely, my knees, thighs and in my throat. (<--felt tight)
At around 4:30-5ish I decided to try to sleep, my head was so tired even though my body wasn't, but I only rested maybe an hour and a half before getting up again.

A pre-cursor? Maybe in the next 24hrs??
I feel so clueless and its annoying, how on earth can I tell if I'm getting close to labour if I've never felt it before??
..I think I'm grumpy from lack of sleep. lol! But prayers would be MUCH appreciated.

Yay! It sounds like progress, at least. I went into full labor on a Tuesday night, but the night before I had had strong, close contractions all through to Tuesday morning when I finally decided to take a cool bath. After that, they subsided to just bad period cramps until Tuesday night.

A good way to tell is to take a cool shower or bath because it will either slow or stop the contractions if it's not real labor . . . and if it isn't real, why go through it if you don't have to?

I have some good news! I just got back from the Dr.
I'm 2cm dilated and 50% effaced - so she said she'll hopefully see me at the hospital this weekend.
So now I'm just waiting...and walking...and bouncing etc.

I haven't been given one yet as I don't have my first midwife appointment until 22nd August, but I estimate my date at around 22nd March 2012.

Not sure, tested negative last week for preterm labor. Still having the contractions though. Started at 33 weeks with Alice, 28w5d with this one.
