  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Tomorrow should be interesting!
I have my Dr. appt, then a hair appt, AND my baby shower.
If this membrane sweep works right away, I may be having contractions at the hair salon!! :D

Guess we'll find out!

Hey Ladies,
So I may be starting labour - I woke up at 3am-ish with cramping and pain, so much so that I couldn't sleep and got up went downstairs to walk around and threw in a movie.
That really didn't help...they weren't contractions that I could time, it was just constant pressure and discomfort all through my uterus, and bizarrely, my knees, thighs and in my throat. (<--felt tight)
At around 4:30-5ish I decided to try to sleep, my head was so tired even though my body wasn't, but I only rested maybe an hour and a half before getting up again.

A pre-cursor? Maybe in the next 24hrs??
I feel so clueless and its annoying, how on earth can I tell if I'm getting close to labour if I've never felt it before??
..I think I'm grumpy from lack of sleep. lol! But prayers would be MUCH appreciated.

Yay! It sounds like progress, at least. I went into full labor on a Tuesday night, but the night before I had had strong, close contractions all through to Tuesday morning when I finally decided to take a cool bath. After that, they subsided to just bad period cramps until Tuesday night.

A good way to tell is to take a cool shower or bath because it will either slow or stop the contractions if it's not real labor . . . and if it isn't real, why go through it if you don't have to?
