Dear Sammisparrow.
I am sorry if the prayers I have said since childhood seem to offend you. The Our Father was given to us by Jesus. Just because they are said frequently takes nothing away from their significance. Some people are better with words than others. That does not mean that they are not devastated by the loss of a friend or loved one if they pray using specific prayers rather than free-verse. We all pray differently, one way or another God knows what is in our heart, no matter what is said. You & your needs/intentions will remain in my prayers.

Especially praying for her surviving husband and children as well as grandchildren who go on without her..but count the loss. Praising God for knowing this wonderful friend and servant of God. Lord and King, in the midst of loss, it is easy to get our eyes off you, hold all these that are mourning this loss, close to your heart, remind them that you are thier strength, their comfort, their hope. Hold their attention in the hope they have and the comfort of a God that loves so deeply that He groans with us, sharing our pain with us, lightening our burdens, our pains....


Mother's day is coming fast, I am so not ready...I was pretending it didn't matter, but I realized today when a friend mentioned it was coming, that it isn't okay, that the first mother's day without our son, will be upon us in a matter of days, and our son won't be here with us...father's day will be worse, not only is it the one year anniversary, but my husband will be talking that day about the revelations God has given him...
