As Christmas approaches remember not only to stop and say a prayer for those who have lost a loved one, but take the time to give a call too, there will be many who will spend the time alone, and we should never allow that to happen, it is a very difficult time. I plan on doing my part by inviting as many widows/widowers who would otherwise be spending Christmas alone to my house for dinner.

Christmas is always hard for me as I see it as a FAMILY holiday and I don't have MY family. Jordan has his and they don't really like me. (Things happened) And holidays just make me miss my family more and more.

I know how you feel . I lost my mom this year and the hoildays are not easy . Bless you and know your not alone

My SIL just lost her mom on Sunday (before Christmas!) She had spent 48 hours with her, knowing she was close to death, and of course, her mom passed after she left that day. This SIL also lost her dad during this time of year... and this same brother and I lost our "Nannie" this week though in 1966.... the "missing" stays with us.

So much suffering...Lord bless each one mentioned here with the peace and comfort of your presence.
This verse, so well known, means so much to me this Christmas...

“Let not your heart be troubled.
You are trusting God, now trust in me.
There are many homes up there where my Father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming.

This Text is from Tell me about heaven by Randy Alcorn. The book is written to use, to help little ones to understand and look forward the new world...the new Heaven and the new Earth. It has helped me with the loss of my son, to look forward to seeing him again, and I hope one day it will help me explain to my grandchildren that we will be with Jesus, that we will all spend eternity together one day with their daddy.

I hope that this will bring some comfort and help to those who have lost loved ones too, as it has to me.
