Prayers for those who have lost loved ones

Praying for those who have lost a loved one sometime in their life. May peace come into their soul and spirit and give them rest from pain, may those who are mourning that it turn into joy.

One of my friends in high school struggled severely with anxiety and suicidal thoughts. My cousin - the same. It is always something that surrounds me. I don't know where my friend ended up, or if she's still with us, but she has been very heavy on my thoughts lately. I pray that wherever she is she finds happiness in the smallest of things - a tiny glimmer of hope in the darkness. My cousin, though she has shielded herself away from anyone else, I pray that she allows the grace of God in, and that the voice of the spirit surrounds her and offers her peace.

For anyone else - those who struggle in silence, I pray that they be comforted and find a voice to raise to a trusted loved one. I pray that they recognize that it is not better for anyone - it won't take away their stress, their hurt, or their worry. I pray that they find strength to see the sun rise the next day, and that the sun rises on a refreshed soul.

For those who have lost ones, I pray that they find peace in the knowledge that God's hands rest on the lost one's shoulders.

Please Pray for my family as I've just lost my Grandma who was a servant to God all of her life, she will be dearly missed but we are so happy that she is at home with her Lord!!

Father God, we humbly come to you in prayer for Laura's family. Please give them the strength and understanding they need to continue their day to day tasks, give this family forgiveness so they will not blame themselves but continue to seek You, Father God. Lord, I ask that in this time of need that you will make this family stronger so that they learn more towards you rather than their own understanding. Father God, Your word says You will never leave us, so please hold this family's hand and guide their path's in this time of need. Lord, give them patience so that they will not be easy to anger in this time but lean on each other to help them with their grieve. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
