I'm posting here, cause this is where I'd probably get the best answers, cause most everybody here has had or is going to have a child.
I went to the doctor today, and I found out that I tested postive for Group b Strep. My doctor didn't tell me exacty what it was. He just told me I had to have antibotics during labor. I thought nothing of it, I came home and did my regular routine. About an hour ago, I got on baby center and looked up things they do when your pregnant. Well I found what I tested postive for, and it has me scared to death. THis could really harm my baby, even kill my baby. I didn't have it 4 years ago with my son, I just don't understand. How does on get this? They say it's not a STD, so what is it and why me? And why could my doctor explain this to me? Has anybody else tested postive for GBS? Or do you have any info about it, cause I'm freaked, and no one else is around to talk about this with. Also, am I freakin' for no reason, or do i have a right to be concerned.
