CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hard to realize because anguish can give a false sense of solitary presence, but right there in the heat of that conflict, yes, the worst of it, as we look to Him is still that same 'friend who sticks closer than a brother'. Hallelujah!

I came across this website today and thought I would share it with people on this thread. This is a service here in the UK, but presumably there will be something similar in different countries.
Churches across the UK are working together to help vulnerable people living alone during the Covid19 outbreak and who may have difficulty accessing support networks. The website states that they can offer practical support in different ways such as shopping, prescriptions, etc. They can also provide a friendly chat and pastoral support.
Thought it was worth a mention - please share with anyone you know who may be in need.
