  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I have a new grandson, William Bryce, born in Houston (yes, in Ike torn Houston) yesterday. They had to knock his mom out and quickly take him by C-section. He is not breathing well, and is in the NICU. He is not on a ventilator, it's not that bad, but he really needs prayer. They think there might be something still in his little lungs. This has been such a difficult pregnancy for my DIL Tamar--she's not doing too well either, if she could just see her baby it would help so much.

Thank you so much. I know I can always depend on you to pray, my dear brothers and sisters.

Shall we not, be grateful
for all of our blessings
for the opportunity to experience ALL
that this given life, will reveal to us

As well we know, that SUCCESS, RICHES AND HAPPINESS
are as transient as the weather
so we are aware
that living, also has, it's FAILURES, POVERTY AND SADNESS

These LESSONS are God-given

The teacher is molding the understanding of His children

Shall we ENVY those
whom we see ENJOYING 'better health' / 'prosperity' and yet
seek MORE
Have they, perhaps, been BOUGHT by Satan

The most-rich, have become that way
from exploiting the toil of, so many
whose names, they, have never-learned

Have they, not, lost their way ?

Our Lord, will provide for our every need
has shown us our way [in His footsteps]

His 'family'
are the chosen
are faithful to His teachings
are being-prepared for eternal life, in Him

Psalm 23

Isaiah 40.31

Our Father
who art in heaven
hallowed be thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy Will be done
here on earth, as it is in heaven
Give us this day, our Daily Bread
and forgive us, our trespasses
as we, forgive those, that trespass against us
Lead us not, into temptation
but deliver-us, from evil
For, Thine
is the Kingdom
The Power
and The Glory
Forever and Ever
amen

May His peace and mercy
be upon you
now and forever more

I am very sick from long term helth problems...my immune system is very low...and I have a contagious condition in my skin...all prayers are welcome...Shirley

My heart enfolds you . . as do my prayers. May you find a refuge in His grace when your body betrays you.

*rueful sigh* I so do not want to have to ask for it, but might I beg prayer for my marriage? Nothing awful . . just . . rough waters for a bit, perhaps. Mercifully, God's given me a peace that rises above it all, and more honesty that I have been able to manage for a very long time. I know His creativity in answering prayers is boundless.
