Subject: God's Wings





A little something to put things in perspective...
An article in National Geographic several years ago provided an
interesting picture of God's wings.

After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers
began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.
One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes,
perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree.

Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick.
When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under
their dead mother's wings.
The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring
to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing
that the toxic smoke would rise.
She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies.
Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body.
The mother had remained steadfast...because she had been willing to die,
so those under the cover of her wings would live.

HE will cover you with His feathers,
and under His wings you will find refuge.' (Psalm 91: 4)

Being loved this much should make a difference in your life.
Remember the One who loves you,
and THEN be different because of it.

Time waits for no one.
Treasure every moment you have.
You will treasure it even more
when you can share it with someone special.

would move the affected family and their pets out for several days
while the property was then sealed and fumigated
Because the chemicals /gases used are toxic
the property would need to be aired
before the residents would be allowed back

We could try that Dave...but these mites are not affected by pesticides...it would not help in the long run...I may call an exterminator service anyway to find out if they know any more than I have been able to learn online...I am a carrier...the mites go where I go.

I do value everyone's prayers...I really get rattled at times...I have poor health as it is...probably why I am so succeptable to these mite bites...they don't seem to like my husband.

I'm always amazed at how God leads us, and how what often seems the most random decisions sometimes are exactly where he wishes to strategically place us. This morning I stopped by to pick up a cappacino, and ran into a man I'd not talked to in many years who used to attend the same church we've now returned to (after 20 years). In chatting a bit, he blurted out that his wife was divorcing him, and began pouring out his heart to me. I promised to pray for him, and tried to encourage him to stay close to the Lord through it, if for no other reason than to be an example to his 3 children. He's so bitter and angry, but grudgingly admitted that he's been leaving God out of the equation more than he meant to.


I know that a few short minutes of visiting with him may not affect him much, but that prayer can, no matter the distance.

But, Love, conquers all.... and we must TRUST in His love
He, loves us
and WE, must love ourselves also !!!!

the quicker the 'wounds' will heal

The 'undeserved' affront, is the worst form of assault

Sometimes, life's 'roundabouts' have few accessible exits
unless and until, the way onto it, has been left, long-behind

However, NOTHING, happens
without causal influence/ incentive

The seeds of love, may have fallen, upon stoney-ground

There is every likelihood, that divorce, may be good for both of them

~ My younger sister back home has Breast Cancer and for the last year she has gone through a lot and when I saw her back in August she was dooing better but still has a long road ahead of her ...

~ My oldest son ... Just got married in August this year to a wonderful girl that he has been with for 7 years ... yes 7 years and they finally got married so I am wanting prayer for them that she will come to know the Lord.

~ My daughter ... As she is in her 2nd year of college and has her high & low points each day !!

~ For myself ... As I am diabetic & have been for 5 years & I had some blood work done last week & it was not good news so I am having to wean myself from certain things that I like ... cookies, chocolate, coffee being the biggest of all ... so pray that I can find the WILLPOWER and some friends here willing to help me through this !!
