This is Dave

Max had/ has trouble getting-up and moving today
'back legs'

I got down to lift him indoors and the loudest 'crack'
had me in awful pain [inMY back]

We have called the doctor to me
expected any time

I write this leaning over the back of my armchair
as I cannot sit andfelt very sick a few minutes ago

Ihave a feeling that i wont be online for some time
and ought to make this known - while I can

oh this-is so very painful

Please be good to each other
and take good care of you

About this time last year I was off of CF for 3 months due to a nerve injury in my neck it was painful and of course made Computing impossible. I missed all my CF friends so much. I will be praying steadily for you until you are once again up to communicating via cyberspace. Blessings dave

I just got a call from my son

His wife, Tamar, is ten weeks pregnant. She had a respite from the morning sickness for a bit when we prayed, but now she is very bad again.

She is not able to keep anything down. They had her on an IV, but now are going to put in a pic line. She has not been able to eat or drink anything the last two weeks--the IV has been keeping her hydrated.

Her life may be in danger as this pregnancy continues. They so much want this baby.

Please, please pray.

Max was 'put-to-sleep'
at 17.35 hrs tonight
[25 minutes to six pm, here]

Denis [one, of, Mary's 'sons'] took us [3] in his car
and brought us [2] home-again, afterwards
from the PDSA
[People's Dispensary for Sick Animals]
Which is, about 12 miles, away from our home
Max, was very calm whilst he, was given
three consecutive syringe-fulls of, anaesthetic
and he, settled 'quietly' within-seconds
of, the needle being-withdrawn

Mary and I, have.... previously, taken this path
for, our past, pets,
that they could depart this world 'comfortably'
and Max was, a lovely dog
Mary says, he, was a man's dog
and that she wasn't surprised how-well he 'took-to' me


The doc, says; I don't appear to have
seriously damaged my spine
but, that I can expect a deal of discomfort
for seven to ten, days
She prescribed me, further-supplies
of, the drugs, that, the hospital gave me
after, my hernia op
and advised, that I shouldn't, seek, bed-rest
as this, could mean my 'seizing-up' altogether

We are, going to miss Max, a whole lot, I'm sure
I just said to Mary, that the next-time we see him [Max]
he'll be running towards us and greeting-us excitedly
JUST LIKE A PUPPY... He was 14 years of age

this afternoon, I FELT,
that I would need X-ray /MRI
and would be hospitalized

But, I am blessed, sufficient, to remain
VERY-CAUTIOUSLY and SLOWLY 'mobile'
andso, I no-longer expect
to be at-all absent from these forums

Hello everyone, I have been reading through some of the posts I had missed. Prayers in secret come easier than my posted words..

Firstly, reading like this, seeing your prayers and heart care for your brethren..warms my heart.

I didnot have the opportunity to thank you properly for praying, forgive my wee panic! It took a grip like a bulldog..some things take a little time.

So now I can truly say Thank You..from my heart.

God answers prayers, I visualised His "inbox" what if He looked and nothing was there, but it overflows with loving prayers for His care and attention. That time side wasnot wasted it profited stillness!

ARIEL: I did not know about your son's wife until now. I will keep her in prayer along with your family as I know this is very stressful for you all.

I hope I did not miss anyone if I did it was not done on purpose.

This, was NOT.... 'totally-unexpected'

Over several months, Max, had been a little unsteady in his back-end
We 'had noticed' that he couldn't CROUCH properly
>at his 'business'

We, had [both of us] determined
that we would keep a 'close-eye' [vigil]
on his 'condition'
so, to ensure that at no-time...
would he, be, left to suffer [unnoticed]

He was, a big dog...
and I do not regret TRYING, to get him back indoors
but, my back let me know that I couldn't manage that task
and thankfully, I did not manage to lift him,
to have-to drop him again [?]

We, [Mary and I] have ensured that Max, did not suffer
pain, nor the inability, to do doggy stuff anymore

Yes, we both of us, loved him very much
and felt
that he, DESERVED our very best attentions
that, as much as we were loathe to let him 'go'
that, which we could do...
had to be done...
We will remember him..... OFTEN
