CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Please pray for my daughter and grandson. My granson was born in Sept. at 30 weeks and is currently in the NICU. He is doing great and has from the beginning (although he needs to learn to nurse and breathe at the same time.)
But, after over a month in the NICU my daughter is getting discouraged. She is just tired and missing her husband, older son, and her home. They live about 3 hours away from the hospital and she is staying with the new little one. I try to go over daily or at least every other day but I am no replacement for her family.

My Mother just phoned. My 17 year old nephew is on life support in Turkey. They are not sure what the problem is but are thinking blood clot or brain tumour. The drs out there put him in a coma and now he has gone into an even deeper coma. The drs don't seem to think he is up to making the journey back to the UK at the moment and my brother is flying out right now. Please pray.

Thank you Jim. As you know I am not at all close to my family, I am very much the odd one out, but my mother sounded so very shaken. I don't really know my nephews and nieces at all. Some I have never even met.

My father said that he is basically dead.(his words). The machine was being kept on until decisions had been made about organ donation. That's all I know. I haven't phoned because I think the phone lines should be kept free for my brother to be able to contact them whenever he wants to. I don't know how long he will be in Turkey for or how long arrangements take in this situation.
