• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Psalm 107:28-30

Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Then they were glad that the waters were quiet,
and he brought them to their desired haven

>

Matthew 21:22

And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

>

Matthew 7:7

“Ask, and it will be given to you seek, and you will find;
knock, and it will be opened to you.

>

John 14:13-14
Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it

>

Mark 9:29

And he said to them, “This kind cannot be driven out by anything but prayer.”

>

Acts 9:40

But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed;
and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.”
And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up.

>

James 5:14-16

Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church,
and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another,
that you may be healed.
The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.

>

Philippians 4:6-7

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts
and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Don’t pray when you feel like it.
Have an appointment with the Lord and keep it.
A man is powerful on his knees.

Apparently Dave hasn't posted on the forum at all in a bit over a week. I don't know why but let us pray for him and his situation. We know of the problem with his Mary. Let us pray for the two of them. God is able to intervene or He is able to give them what is need to be able to bear whatever they must go through. We are praying with you and for you Dave.

Amen! :groupray:

I'd appreciate prayer please, as I'm feeling very sad and tired. Part of this is a difficult relationship with a relative, in which I'm trying to be loving, and although we're on good terms I constantly feel criticised. Also I'm really struggling with my degree, which is quite Godless in places. I'm trying to bring Christianity into it. Neither my relative, nor my course tutor are Christians, so will you please pray for their salvation and for me to handle both of these situations. I'd also appreciate prayer for the constant emotional tiredness I am feeling.

Many thanks.

:groupray: for strength and peace [ above all peace]
for Sue's ~overcoming
Maybe, you didn't put on the Full Coat Of Armor this-morning [?]
weakened your guard just a little bit [?]
become vulnerable, [perhaps] to a mite or so, of, introspection ?

:prayer: that your feet shall fly over the cobbles
so that they shouldn't get-bruised
I  that you summon up, the courage... to be 'you'

What others 'believe' / 'do not believe' [in]
isn't for you to carry [?]
God knows already [?]
and, He will also 'see you through it'
[or, give you a way out] ??

'emotional tiredness' ~stress, wears you down quicker than hard work [labouring]

I don't know,
we rush, to get 'this' done
and then 'that' done
and something-else, 'distracts you' until, that is
you 'pick'-on, something-else
that was 'in the queue' of, all those 'other things'
that you really had-to 'get on with' today!!!

So, it is 'best foot forward' "This, is how I feel and if you don't like-it ? you can grovel"
:)
C'mon Sue

One step at a time and always leave time for "me time" [you and Him ;) ]

Thanks very much Dave.

I think Satan "has a go" every time I have an assignment to do, and although the Lord always sees me through, I'm getting so tired of the spiritual battle, and it's such a lonely one.

Now my computer is playing up, so could that be added to the prayer requests as I need it for the degree, and really don't want the expense (or stress) or a new one?

Many thanks

Hello everybody, It has been a long time since I posted here. Life is going on around me and I am slowly emerging from the biggest trial I have faced. I have a lot to be thankful for but I am still waiting for my husband's heart to be renewed in Love for His Lord. He is still on his own. The good news is that I am surviving and things are moving forward to hopefully separate the complex financial issues we face. I would ask for prayer for physical health and strength and financial provision for success is upgrading of my home for sale. I have 4 of us living here. My mother in law in her own suite and three sons, one of whom is disabled. They are all adults. I am working still at my job of 21 years and grateful for that. When set backs come I must remember that God is in the driver's seat of my life and he will work even what I see as wrong moves by my husband into good if I am trusting and believing in Him. The good news is we are still not divorced. I do not want that and I am standing for my marriage with the support of Rejoice Marriage Ministries. I long to see with the eyes of Faith in the spirit realm and not in the natural fleshly world. I know that God is moving behind what I can see to work His perfect will. I really would just appreciate a prayer from you all, Be lead by the Holy Spirit and I will be at peace. Thanks Jan

Thank the Lord for the good report about Mary, and that she is doing well and recovering! Praying for her recovery back to good health! Praying for Rebornfree in her situation with her relative and course tutor who are not Christians, for her witness to them and that they will become Christians soon. Praying for Gratefulgrace and her family; for her good report of how God is working in her marriage. Praying for all other prayer requests.
