Praying for all those in need of prayer and praising for answered prayer. I slipped and fell last Wednesday, spent 4 days in hospital with a broken ankle. Having to rest up now and making the best of it.

I don't know much about this hurricane yet, but I will be praying for those in the path of it and for those who have already suffered loss because of it.

I have a few friends in FL who are still under tornado watches and warnings, and a CF lady from Louisiana
(already badly impacted by Katrina)is under the guns again
Lord have mercy on them all (Haiti too!)

I asked why ?, as she has only 3 weeks to go, to term
"reduced movement of the baby" was the reply [??]
I asked whether there was any cause, for-concern
and was told: "Dad, the baby and I, are okay"

So, I await the 'further news' as to why this measure, was deemed appropriate

My friend in Florida has clear weather now with no damage.

And I just saw an updated from the friend in LA

This hurricane's not going to do anything. Its not even going to be a hurricane (Thank you, Jesus). My prayer now is, the lights don't go out because then I might melt in the heat with no air condition.

@ 4.40am this morning, I was awoken by a Text Alert
it reads:

""Sorry it is late
Just wanted you to know,
you have a very beautiful granddaughter
who weighed 6.12 lbs
born at 1.08am
just back on the ward now..
hoping to discharge me by lunchtime tomorrow xx """

I attended my REVIEW appointment at the Health Centre [nearby] this morning
Bloods, Blood Pressure, Height, Weight and Spirometry

GOOD NEWS!!! ...
My spirometry Test, has 'ruled out' the earlier 'tentative' COPD diagnosis
\o/ \o/
The nurse had the printout examined and confirmed, by the practice's Senior Nurse
and I have a doctor's appointment made, to consult [afresh] upon the cough
[reminder: x-rays show, that my chest is 'clear']
because, with oedema being controlled by diuretics... ~the cause of the cough
needs to be reassessed [reminder: cough started April 6th/7th and been very persistent since]
[aside: I have also 'lost' 2.5 inches in height since, February 1968]

My 'weight' is now stable @ 130lbs [due to diuretics]

So, it is another day of cheerful blessings, Praise The Lord
