Adding another...last night before I could let my mom know what was going on with Shanda (I couldn't reach her earlier, and didn't want to leave that on a machine), She called to tell me my cousin's daughter Courtney (17) has now been missing for 2 weeks...she went with a group of friends to see a concert by grateful dead followers, and was suppose to spend the weekend.
Due to her age the authorities didn't get to worried up there when she wasn't home after that, but she also calls her big brother every couple days, and when his 21st birthday went by this past week and she didn't call my cousin finally made them listen. She'd been staying with her father.
My poor Aunt and Uncle had to find out on the 5o'clock news, their first granddaughter has now been officially missing for 2 weeks...the friends are home. They are trying to track down this "groupie following" and have said she could be with them in Phillie or Cal. which is fine by my cousin cause that would at least mean she's alive.

I shut the computer off last night at 9pm and went to bed, to pray, then to veg in front of the tv.

Tammy, I work for the State Police, the authorities should get involved with any missing person no matter how long they've been missing. If someone told them different they are wrong. If she's 17 she is still a minor (well in DE anyway) and should have been immediately entered into the FBI's computer system.

I'm keeping all Courtney in my prayers.

She didn;t make it to the 5oclock news till last night, but my mom said they started looking for her officially a week after she was gone....cause they considered her age...17..and the concert...even though she's a Christian girl who does not drink or do drugs...they didn't care/believe...Plus she had gone to live with her dad, and they waited the weekend cause they said she might've been off with her friends...
I HATE THAT STATE!!!
they do NOT care about the teenagers there!!

Going across to my MIL's in a few for coffee, been up since 4:30, and Shawn's grandma and Aunts are up from Fl and leaving this morning.
Then going to come back and take an early nap, return movies, and be back online for the day.

Her name is Courtney Palen (or Pallen...my cousins old married name) pronounced Paylen. She's 17. And not this past weekend, but the weekend before according to my mom was going with her friends to a concert of a group of grateful dead imitators...the cops assumed she took off with a bunch of groupies that follow the band, she was suppose to stay with the friends for the wekend...so no one worried till the weekend was over. Then that's what the cops said when they were called...that she probably went with the band like the groupies..it took a week for them to be convinced I guess that she's not that kind of kid,,,but I guess this "group" is suppose to be in Phili and Cal. So that's where they're focusing on.

My babygirl made it to CA. safely.

We might have some progress on my cousin's daughter though...not %100 sure yet.
About 8 months ago I did some "detective work" for my mom and sisters having to do with my nephew..I started on My Space and worked my way from there.
So last night after church I came home and did the same thing wondering if Courtney might have a My Space too...and she does..so thats where I started and ended up at another site called myyearbook and got lots of information, relayed it to my mom, and she passed it on to my cousin....well my mom just called...and they were able to use that to possible track her down..we should know soon...and if that is the case...then my cousin is going to allow her to become an emancepated adult after everything she read.
Courtney needs a lot of prayer...she a Christian who just took a U Turn

Please pray for me and my family. My husband and I have been off and on together the past two years but he said he was coming home for good. He then got involved with a native spiritual healer and within a week of that left without a word. We had a fight he packed most of things but I thought things were OK two days later he dropped off a coffee at work for me, said he wasn't going home right away and hasn't come home since. He checks his messages and I know he made it to a Dr appointment but hasn't called or anything. I am mad sad, scared and very hurt. We have two teens who really want nothing to do with their dad they have been hurt so often.

OK, major prayer request here. I just talked to her, and she is intensely upset. She is still in limbo, waiting on the signature of the Brigade Commander. She is all packed, and ready to leave. (she was originally supposed to be home on Wednesday)Her unit commander has signed it, and has passed it along, but it has not come back to him signed by the Brigade commander. The unit is going out to the field tomorrow, so she can't stay in th barracks. She is thisclose to going awol and just buying her own bus ticket and coming on home!!! Not a wise choice! Please pray that this paper gets signed, and she is on a plane home tomorrow morning!
