Folks, my dad and I need prayer. You've been wonderful in accomodating us. I ask that you keep dad in prayer. Please pray for me also. The anxiety, stress and depression are becoming hard. I've blogged some of my feelings on my personal blog. This is so difficult. I have to go see dad this weekend. It's a three day trip. Yet I find myself dreading this trip at the same time. http://www.canucksandwannabes.com/blog/

Yes, they are, but it is taking forever for the red tape to go through. It will be a general discharge, and they are leaving her with an option to reenlist later on, when she is better, but with lots of waivers!

Tammy, Elisabeth has a history of anxiety/stress problems, but she thought she had it under control. She completed Basic training in May, but by the second week of June, had a meltdown during her training, and spent 9 days in the hospital. She is being 'chaptered out' and will be released. Hopefully within the month.

I've been wondering if they would do that. Sounds like they're being very understanding and compassionate about it. I'm glad.

I continue to pray for Elisabeth, Rene'e.

Oh hon, Basic is so stressful in itself on anyone who doesn't have a history of stress or anxiety problems, I commend her for giving it a shot hon. I'm sorry it turned out the way it did and will keep her in prayer.
If it helps any, She is more than welcome to talk to me....I have and am on meds for anxiety and depression, have been for a great many years. I tried being off of them having believed I was delivered from the depression part, since Feb. About 3 weeks ago I had to admit I needed to be back on at least a low dose of the anti depressent, the Dr told me it was mostly due to it being in my system for over 20 years and the chemical inbalance it in itself caused.
However, combining it with my new muscle relaxer for my fibro also makes me take a nap for between 1 & 2 hours without fail...I literally start falling asleep at the keyboard one hour after taking my morning meds unless I elimininate the morning muscle relaxer.
Sorry to ramble.

Of course. I don't want to say "I know how you feel" because I don't, but I can relate somewhat because we lost my father-in-law about 4 weeks ago to cancer.
Stay strong and lean on the Lord.

My Daughter just called me, she said, I'll start with the good news...I'm no longer on call to go to Iraq by Sept 1st.....That should've made me happy....but my daughter is like me..when she said I'll start with the good news...I new what was coming
She then told me that on August 18th (my bestest friend's birthday) she'll be going to her base in Riverside, where she'll stay Full Time until Sept 29th...that part sounded ok by me.
But what she'll be doing is Combat Loading (part of her job...loading the troops who are being deployed)...and Combat Training...starting on the 24th.......For Israel

She said...Mom...with Iraq I knew I was fighting for this country...with Israel it's for other countries...

Lord forgive me for taking time off from my walk with YOU when my girls needed it the most!!

I got a text message from my daughter yesterday, and she has been sick. She's running a temp of over 101 and her ears are hurting. She has had ear problems since she was born, and one of her eardrums is ruptured. Pray that she can get some relief from this, and that they can repair her eardrum before she gets out.

Could you all please pray for my mother and her sister who are driving over 1300 miles this weekend to attend the funeral of my uncle? Also please pray for my uncle's wife who I know will miss him terribly -- they were married for over 65 years.

I thought cease fire meant it was over, I thought it meant Shanda's orders to even go to her base for the combat loading and training would be cancelled.....

Not only is that still happening...

I am not doing good right this second.....

Shanda just called me.again, she also got orders that she'll have a week & 1/2 home after Sept 29th..then she's got 6 months NOT STATESIDE and they aren't telling her where till she gets back to the base...

And though she knew and was waiting...she said..."mom I guess I'll miss Thanksgiving and Christmas with the family, and mine and Crystal's birthdays"...

Except for the family aspect of what she'll be missing, she's fine with it.

I waited till I got off the phone with her to fall apart.
Please keep my baby in prayer.
