CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dear friends,

I'm asking for prayers for my niece, Lindsey. I can't go into much here but a few years back, she suffered a traumatic incident, one that no one can really talk about because it involves another family member. Some of you know the situation, but God knows exactly what is going on so, if you could please pray for Lindsey. She's 9 and has been diagnosed with OCD, there's not a specific diagnosis but I know that it's Religious OCD.

This sweet, sweet girl can NOT go to bed at night without pacing around her room chanting "God forgive me. Please God, forgive me." over and over again, sometimes for hours at a time. She has said that she doesn't feel like God could ever love her even though she attends Church every Sunday and most every Sunday evening and also attends my Church's day school. She knows God but...she's also suffering from PTSD from this incident.

My heart breaks because *I* can't do anything to make her hurt go away even though I, too, have suffered and sometimes still suffer, from ROCD.

Please, please, pray for this sweetheart. God knows exactly what is needed.

I'm so sorry your little neice is suffering so much. I, too, had ROCD for 8 years. It was beyond horrible. But exposure/response therapy works towards recovery. She needs a good psychiatrist and psychologist who both know how to treat children for OCD (perhaps she already has this). I was able to recover with God's help in the therapy.

I will pray for Lindsey. And if you would like to discuss OCD therapy more - give me a call, or a PM or something. :prayer:

Prayers for you as you continue to recover from your accident.

I am asking prayers for a couple of people right now.
My daughter has been battling a respiratory bug for over a week now and even though she was at the doctor yesterday, she is feeling rather miserable and frustrated. She is also student teaching and finding it hard to focus with this bug and is receiving criticism regarding having a hard time focusing due to this bug. She is second guessing her career choice. I know this is coming out of the frustration of not feeling well. I really hope and pray she feels better tomorrow and is able to concentrate better on a project she is under a time line to do also.

I also have a niece who is having some struggles with her family. God knows the needs here.

Thanks for letting me make these requests.

Please pray for this area of Iowa. Two convenience store clerks were killed Monday night in two different towns by the same person. One at a station I go to most of the time. This one is LCMS and I also pray for their young Pastor as he helps the grieving family.

The communities here are in shock over this.
