Once they are dead - there is no praying for one's soul. Or am I misunderstanding what you are saying?

Different faiths have different beliefs re: this.
I don't think sphinx meant any harm...just unaware of your beliefs here, and offering his prayer

I don't know if anyone even reads this thread anymore....
I'm asking for prayer for myself tomorrow. I go before the judge for my disability hearing. I'm asking for God's guidance and His will. I'm rather nervous about it too. Thanks.

Not sure if anyone takes a peek at this thread anymore.....

......but I'm asking for prayer for my daughter. She is having surgery tomorrow (thursday) morning. The doctors aren't all sure what is going on, but they will know after tomorrow. We are asking God to hold her and her husband close no matter what the answer is.

Our daughter is out of surgery, and is doing well. That is all I know right now......thank you, everyone, for your prayers.

My husband had a stroke, looks like it happened Friday, but he didn't tell me until today that he couldn't talk or use his arm/leg. He slept all day yesterday and wasn't up until I went to bed. I got home from church today and he was doing reallly bad which led me to ask, how long? AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH. Took him to the ED at my hospital and the CT scan and MRI showed it. Transferred him to BJH downtown. Prayers are appreciated since we don't know what caused it so it could be anything until they do more tests. He was deteriorating in the ED. man.

I have to stop by his work and get the animals tko tonight and go back to the hospital. He just got settled in after the ambulance ride over. I'm exhausted. I may try and catch a few while I have time.

It was a brain stem stroke and he was sooooo lucky he's not paralzyed or dead. They're debating whether to release him to IP rehab later this week or try for OP rehab. More tests, but his speech is improving. Now, to get the arm/leg thing going.

Please keep a family from our church in your prayers. They received word tonight that the birth father of their newborn/adopted son Max has decided at the last minute to not sign away his parental rights. They have had Max for a couple of months now and brought him to be baptized. Pray that the right thing is done and that God takes care of all, preferably with the only family he has known.
