Practical Question *possible trigger*

Hope this does not offend anyone.

If someone SI's by bashing themselves in the head with their own fists/hands or object, bes it possible for them to give themselves a concussion doing that? especially if they do it in a fit of blind rage wherein they felt absolutely no physical sensation of pain and therefore have no idea how hard they might have hit themselves?

What injuries besides concussion should one look out for with regard to someone doing this?

a concusion is defind as any trauma to the head... i don't think it's possible to answer your question with breaking the 'no professional cancel' ... i personally think any SI is hurtful in many ways. when i use to do it, it was physical, emotional, and mental. the hurts i felt were very deep and real. even when i thought i couldn't fel it. that was even a deeper and more cunning hurt to my life. here in SI, we'd like to direct everyone to exploring healthy management skills. doctors, canselors, and clergy can help you find what is best for you. but here in SI, you can share the things that keep you from SI. bless your heart. good to see you too moriah xo dee

Yes a Concussion. Be specifically careful for passing out and throwing up a doctor should be consulted for any head tramua. I also agree with all our lovely Dee has said.

look it bes not looking for emotional support with this question, it bes practical question regarding trauma to the head, just wanting to know when a professional needs consulting bes all.

but moriah, how can we not care deeper than that of your question? it's hard not to offer more ideas or give you encouragemts. lol. especially since most of us are in some stage of struggling with it ourselves. i love this about the recovery forums. it's awesome to have a safe community to lean on. and it feels good to be there for peepers we love too. xo

Our noggins are pretty hard so I imagine it would be difficult to achieve a self-inflicted concussion. I would advise against trying though. Head trauma is dangerous.
Our main processor is up there. I advise trying to not hurt your head or your hands. Damage to either can far outlast the emotional issues that caused it.
