The unusual image is the cause of gravitational lensing, which causes light shining from far away to be bent and pulled by the gravity of an object between its source and the observer. In this case, the light from the background galaxy has been distorted into the curve we see by the gravity of the galaxy cluster sitting in front of it.

The M78 nebula, part of the Orion complex, a large region of star-forming gas and dust centered around M42 and M43. It is the brightest diffuse reflection nebula in the sky.

As of today, I've officially gotten into metallurgy. Successfully conducted an experiment by melting some cans into molten aluminum, using my burnpit as a makeshift forge. I may also try casting some molds in aluminum, perhaps even as Christmas gifts.

What kind of music do you play? I play guitar, and usually I just lay down a bunch of tracks on the looper built-in to my amp.

Great setup! How do you like the Beringer? Have you used other mics?

It's the only one I have - it's a really good mic, good quality. The problem is my singing is not very good quality. I've got it so other people can sing!

Not far away from me is Cannock Chase, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB). A dense forest whose many legends give it somewhat of a spooky reputation. It is an easy place to get lost, even with a map, and there are many parts of it where you can walk for miles without meeting another person.

I can't play the guitar but I'd love to have a real guitarist to record! If only you lived nearer!

I like writing music compositions. I'm in the process of putting together albums of music on various themes. One is simply piano compositions with light string and orchestral arrangements. The other is a more upbeat album with various software instruments, loops and effects.

Usually I just put down an acoustic track and play some clean electric over it. Mine can be a bit dreary once in a while, and other tracks, for whatever reason, reminds me of a long journey home. I’m not sure how else to explain it.

Very nice! These do have butterscotch chips in them I will host a small Christmas dinner on Sunday and my uncle loves these and so do I.

I ran a 6k a few weeks ago, it was a charity run benefiting a children's organization. There were quite a few people there, including some spectators that were just monkeying around.

Another "postcard pic" of Exeter, where I was born and grew up. Such a laid-back city in a gorgeous country setting. The locals are always so friendly, polite and caring. The old quarter is the prettiest, with cobbled streets, quirky buildings, and remnants of the walls that surround the city. I used to love going down into the medieval underground passages, a labyrinth of secret tunnels beneath the city centre.
