Making progress lately with a new, custom shader that's capable of rendering billions of "objects" at the same time with a stable framerate, even though each can have a unique color, texture and animated effect. The objects don't technically exist yet, but I'll eventually finish the optimization functionality to support them.

I'm not sure if the final product will be able to consistently render such an insane number of objects, but still really cool to visualize nonetheless. :cool:
