Beautiful mama deer and her sweet fawn at the park today. Sadly, this was the best I could get with my phone.

Aww. I've always been jealous of the wildlife you guys have in America, apart from the large predators that is. Do deer like this get aggressive? or do they just run at first sight?

I admit, I passionately love North American wildlife! Deer are virtually never aggressive unless cornered or threatened, they usually take off running long before humans can get close. Though bucks may be more likely to stomp you down if it's mating season and you get too close, but even that is very rare. This particular doe happened to stay there while some park-goers walked by on the path you see in the photo, and only ran into the trees at the last second, so she must be rather used to the human presence in the park. When I go hiking in the forests nearby, though, deer will take off running when I'm still very far from them.

I was going through some older photos and found this one from 2017 (before Jesus saved me) of the last tattoo I got, mid-session. The other ones weren't super painful but I remember this one stinging like a mad man. Especially when he had to go back over the already tattooed parts to add more ink.

Heck, yeah!! That's an awesome one! I've been intending to get a Rohan-themed tattoo for years. Just need to get over my awkwardness around strangers and set up an appointment.

Heck, yeah!! That's an awesome one! I've been intending to get a Rohan-themed tattoo for years. Just need to get over my awkwardness around strangers and set up an appointment.

A Rohan tattoo sounds sick. I have a feeling that Gríma Wormtongue won't be making an appearance though .

A Rohan tattoo sounds sick. I have a feeling that Gríma Wormtongue won't be making an appearance though .

Right? I've actually been messing with Midjourney AI to generate some Rohan-ish designs for it. But actually calling a parlor and going in and presenting my squishy looking self to a bunch of inked, bearded tough guys... is intimidating.

You'd be surprised how nice they are . They have to deal with a lot of umm.... unsavory...? folk, so you would probably a breath of fresh air. The place I went to refused to do head tattoos because of the clients those type of tattoos attracted. They still did bikies and stuff but some of the stories the bloke who did mine told me about some of the clients he had in the past were insane.

I'm sure you're right! The tattoos that I do have, I got so long ago, I hardly remember what the experience was like, lol. I need to put some fresh ink on this skin before it's old and wrinkly!

My bedroom is a neverending creative endeavor. For so many years, I couldn't afford to buy even small, simple things that I just LIKED, to decorate my home. Then I was in a home where I didn't have money OR permission to make any space my own; I was smothered and suffocated into complete withdrawal into myself.

Now, I'm just starting to have both the freedom and the financial means to decorate my room in ways that make my soul happy. Just being able to buy a potted plant, or a whimsical figurine, and feel my inner "voice" being expressed, one little gesture at a time, is so healing. I love coming back to this corner of my room and add things or change things around, or envision new things I'd like to add.

When little ones are about it's best to choose furniture that accommodates them or you'll be upset. Leather is great and care is minimal and it lasts a long time. That's what I did.
