Portraits of Our Littlest Ones
David Curry, CEO Open Doors USA

When we share about Christian persecution, often we focus on stories of adults. But persecution affects everyone—including the children of these parents. This month, we’re focusing on the children of the persecuted Church. Throughout December, we’ll bring you stories of children wrestling with loss, discrimination and marginalization due to their faith—as well as inspiring accounts of children with great courage standing boldly for the gospel. Father, Hebrews 13:3 immediately comes to mind. Oh how You loved the children, dear Jesus, and continue to do so. Our hearts go out in compassion
to those suffering various forms of pain, affliction, torment, and persecution.
May You speak to the hearts of these dear children directly, or through some human servant, and assure them of Your love and desire to save their souls,
adopt them into Your family, and provide for them and bless them. May You
bring physical and spiritual blessings to these children, and strengthen and build them up in You. May they be victorious in heart and spirit over persecution
and the other evils in this world, as You minister to them, bringing them to greatly worship You, who are so much better than any god, idol, or material thing on earth, of those things that are both visible and invisible. Amen.
