Coming from the western country which has the highest divorce rates in the world I doubt your qualified to discern what constitutes a true happy marriage or not. Maybe countrys like Greece, Macedonia or Arminia which has very high marriage success but not most western countrys who don't know their butt from first base of what constitutes a good marriage.

I actually have read up on the subject and those women that choose to speak out or get divorced are often ostracized from family and friends so they choose to stay in an unhappy relationship, there have been documentaries also stating this. You just choose to think it is all hunky dory everywhere else when it is often the fact that women are considered second class citizens and it is perfectly acceptable in those cultires for the men to have mistresses.

Just because Democrats were that way then does not mean they are now and since you are all about roots it was the Republican party that was for the pro-choice rights of women until the Reagan era.

Thats funny cause I live near a compound that has alot of immigrants from india and they seem far from what your describing. In fact they seem to live in alot more peaceful marriages than our western neighbors that its almost an embarassment compared. The mutual respect I've seen between wife and husband from their familys almost shames us in comparison.

This particular Pope seems every bit the Christian Peter, John, James, Jude and Paul are.
