Personally I dont understand it's appeal. "Aimed at little girls or not" I do believe in freedoms, as an American it is what we SHOULD stand for (Sadly freedom is only a thinly veiled illusion in America, but... hey.)

My sister used to watch the show so there is NO WAY I would watch the show, have any desire to see even a snippet of the show.... much like twilight I would rather get paper cuts and go swimming in an rubbing alcohol salt solution that watch it.

But to each their own. I happen to still love watching Garfield cartoons and those are aimed at kids as well.

Why people get so roid rage over it is baffling to me. The biggest annoyance IF any are the battles between pony lovers and the haters. WHO CARES!

I dont need to know you LOOOOOVE MLP, I dont need to know you HATE MLP lovers.

I WISH my life were so devoid of problems that who watches what phased me in the slightest, but, I have bigger things to deal with than "OH MY GOSH, YOU WATCH PONIES YOU SICK FREAK!" or "OH MY GOSH, HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE PONIES?!"

Sorry, both sides had their rant, so I had mine.

Okay, fine, now you did it, I would rather swim in alcohol salt after paper cuts than watch either, but I would rather watch ponies or twilight than basket ball. "Normal" or not, it is the vacuum of the sports world.

I personally haven't seen this show, but I am so sick and tired of haters popping up and crying to the pony lovers that they're sick freaks and all for watching a show they enjoy.

Fair enough. You make some good points, but remember that Friendship is Magic is vastly different from prior generations of MLP.
