CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You're halfway right, and that's really the only legitimate complaint I have of the show, but it's more of a complaint against the fanon rather than canon. Canon says it's a sweet and fun show, fanon dictates all the ponies are homosexual.
MLP is just a cartoon, but there are some branches of the fandom that are genuinely revolting and perverse... Things like clop and shipping tarnish the name of the show as well as those who enjoy the show for what it is: an innocent diversion.
For the record, I stay away from all of the fandom (including fan-fictions, forums, conventions, and cosplay) except the memes. I do go to Equestria Daily on occasion to see if there are any new orchestral pony songs, but as far as saying things like 'everypony' and calling myself a brony, I do not.

No, not trolling. I like the show, but I don't participate in any the fandom.
Similar to one who watches the Star Wars movies, but doesn't read fan-fiction, post on Star Wars forums, or go to Star Wars conventions.
When I hear of little ponies, these Thelwell cartoons come to my mind.

I used to give people who were fans of the show a hard time, but I've realized that isn't right.
If you enjoy the show, power to you for being open about it.
There are a few sick freaks who probably like the show for nefarious reasons, but the vast majority of them are probably normal.

Lol, believe it or not.. but I think children's shows should have outed sadomasochistic characters.
Would have loved it if shows had them when I was a kid. Not in a sexual manner of course, but to know that others had those feelings and they were normal.

Although I can understand why most people would be turned off by the idea when they first hear it..
It's really not what you might be thinking.. lol.
It's gonna happen too, sooner or later..
Although after watching a few of the cartoons I used to watch as a kid.. it already kinda did.. they were just more subtle about it, lol.
