Justification, sanctification.
God's Plan of Salvation The Bible says there is only one way to Heaven
Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)
Good works cannot save you.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Trust Jesus Christ today! Here's what you must do:What to pray:
- Admit you are a sinner. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12)
"If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." (1 John 1:10)- Be willing to turn from sin (repent). Jesus said: "I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." (Luke 13:5)
"And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:" (Acts 17:30)- Believe that Jesus Christ died for you, was buried, and rose from the dead. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners. Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." (Romans 10:9)- Through prayer, invite Jesus into your life to become your personal Saviour. "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Dear God, I am a sinner and need forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ shed His precious blood and died for my sin. I am willing to turn from sin. I now invite Christ to come into my heart and life as my personal Saviour. "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12)
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
1-No.I got 2 questions relating to this topic.
1-Was Judas a Christian at any time?
2-Was Saint Peter a Christian when he denied to know Jesus?
I have a question for those who hold to OSAS.
I know several who have exhibited faith in Christ, have said the "sinners prayer", have led a life in obedience for a time, and then have fallen away and forsaken Christ. Some who hold to OSAS would say that these individuals are still saved, that their profession of faith ensures this, that no matter how much they deny Christ they will still get to Heaven. Others who hold to OSAS say that they were never really saved, that their faith was not salvational.
Which is it? Are such saved or not?
Foundthelight and everyone else...God's Word.....
Who are we to judge one's salvation? That is between that person and God. Is it not?
Only God knows for sure if their faith, however compromised was real. More detailed information could offer a better educated guess, but it would still be a guess.I have a question for those who hold to OSAS.

Heh, in the literal sense, I suppose they might, but certainly not any other way! Just because they walked around with Him doesn't make them Christian unless they actually put it into practice.I got 2 questions relating to this topic.

Because we are human and as humans many consider to follow the philosophy of "what if", instead of choosing to believe that which God's guarantees us.
If one does not believe OSAS, to me that is an admittance that they do not believe God, nor His Word.
Simply take a look at the human brain...Twisted coils wrapped tightly around each other.
I stated:This isn’t about mere details. It’s about demonstration and the substance of what you are suggesting. Just look back at your posts; you say things like “obvious”, “misrepresent”, “factual”, “by definition”, “fallacy”, etc. You use these as identifiers. Yet, when asked HOW the identification is made, you just repeat yourself: obvious, misrepresent...I might be misrepresenting you here, but, as to HOW I’m doing that, I guess we’ll never know.
Support your claim. No, I do not believe in once saved, always saved. To me, "once saved, always saved" is the absolute worst heresy there is! It is nothing more than a license to sin!
1-No.
Joh 6:70 - Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?2-Yes.Because he knew a revealed truth:Mt 16:17 - And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And you can't realy know anything spiritual unless you've been born again:
1Co 2:14 - But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
The correct one as exemplified by the Bereans.
I don't get it either.The Bereans are anti-Christian?
Nice claim. Got backing? If not, let us know.Rick Otto,
you are amazing!
God Bless you!
Talking about Protestants taking things out of context, i'm just speach less by your answers.
Or just plain heartburn. You don't wanna be flip, but if you take yourself too seriously, you can develop a condition called "reflexive sanctimony".
Satan doest tempt those already lost...they are already choosing a path.Personally, it's hard to me to say which of those I believe, but lately I tend to think that OSAS is not true. I just can't get over the fact that after we are "saved" or whatever you want to call it, we still sin. In other words, we are still tempted (and still fall to it). In even more other words, it means that our enemy is still trying to make us fall. If that doctrine of OSAS is indeed true, why wouldn't the enemy focus his attention solely elsewhere (on non-Christians), on where his purpose may still be fulfilled?
But what are they to believers?Hmm, that makes good sense. Making believers look like unbelievers has got to be one of his best weapons.
