I think you need to look at the stats as well. That statistic seems to have "forgotten" a couple of important costs, namely health care and education. Someone told me those costs costs are quite high in the US ... Is this correct? In Norway it is free, so Norwegians spend little to nothing on that. Y
I did not go through the entire comparison. But I checked membership in fitness club. According to your link this costs NOK 410 ($45) in Norway and NOK 331 ($36). However, I pay only NOK 195 for my membership fee in a good club - so less than half what that statistic says
Your statistic includes $5.562 for a year in an international school for one child. Now, there would not be one single Norwegian who would send his child to an international school (where they would not teach in Norwegian). So this you can take away immediately and substitute it with a Norwegian school with the whopping cost of zero dollars. I could go one
