Greetings,

Since we are in an election year, I was wondering how active a Christian should be in politics. Should we become involved in protests and join a Tea Party as some have done? Or should we not concern ourselves with politics so much?
What do you guys think?

I'm not really looking to join a movement. Just wondering how involved Christians should be in politics. Daniel 2:21 states:

And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.

So does it matter who we vote for? Will God place in high office who He wishes?

The Bible clearly states to render to Ceasar the thing that for him which is politics and to Elohim His loyalty as well. Many today attempt to mix the two together. The Tea Pary Movement started maybe to makes some changes in the Republican party but many who joined showed their true colors-racism and hatred. It became the party of the Christian majority who do not represent YASHUA at all. Their agenda is to place blacks and latinos back into slavery, made women slaves to their husbans, kill all the homosexual and others who do not conform to their way of belief thinking it in the name of Elohim. It is not it is in the name of their pagan deity call god!

Civil matters should have nothing to do with religious matter and this country was not founded on relgious principles. That is a lie, they all had slaves who wrote the Constitution and they drink, smoke, lied, killed, some comitted adultry smoked weed and many other nameless sin. They wanted to be free to worship however the way they wanted to worship which was very good. They did not want a king who control and to tax that pocket his pocket. They wanted taxes to be uses fairly for the good of all. They had very good motives and even though they had slaves, they would be appall at the Tea Party Movement today.

But always remember it is Elohim who places men in office for the right of liberty. However, sins has become more rampent today in the Churches and in the world. Homosexual is a sin but we do not have the civil right to make them to obey Elohim's laws. We do not have the right to make anyone obey Elohim's laws, they must choose to do that themselves. Everyone should have the right to vote and what is happening today is wrong. Because a black man, yes a black man that Elohim chose is in the White House. The true KKK has come out from their sheets and are revealed. An Atheist has a right to believe the way he wants, also a muslim, Hindu, Satanist, Quaker, Baptist, Pentecost, Catholic, yes even a Mormon or Latter Day Saint. If the Mormons want to marry more than one wife that is their right. We are not to judge anyone but we do base on our belief and than like the terroist Islams bomb abortion clinics, and kill people here in America.

I am an American citizen but I am also an Afrikan which Biblically is my ethnic heritage that goes back to Ham, the youngest son of Noah. However, I am of one race mankind or human. We hate for all the wrong reason and it is sad. Because a black man became President many hate him even though his mother was white. There are many black out there who hate to be black and want to be white. The same for some whites as well, be who you are and be proud of your culture, I am. I also have Scott in my blood. Politic should never deal with religion but righteousnes and compassion should. Vote not what another believe who is office but what is fair for all mankind the right to choose whom they will serve. As for me I choose serve YAHWEH, YASHUA, and the HOLY SPIRIT. I choose justice and fairness even though I do not agree with Homosexual acts, nor adultry acts, nor drinking, smoking, abortion, lying, gossiping or any other sinful act. But I allow anyone who do these things that are not unlawful by man to respect them. However, I will stand and call the sin by its right name but love the sinner while I hate yes hate the sin!

Be Bless and all please vote your consious,

The Tea Party movement is not racist. I have not heard that they want to return to slavery and make women slaves to their husband. Where did you hear they want to kill all homosexuals? I think you are thinking of Islam and Sharia Law, not the Tea Party.

The Tea Party was formed because our government is too big and out of control. We need to return to the constitution and get rid of the nanny-state government that we have now.

Our country was founded on religious principles. What other country on earth or at any time in Earth's history has a constitution like ours? We have more freedom and a better lifestyle than any other country or nation on Earth, now at any other time in history. This country was blessed by God and we have been very prosperous. However, due to rebellion and sin, greed, idolatry, etc. God's blessings and protections are being removed.

God is angry when a nation becomes full of rebellion and sin. His wrath will soon break out on the entire planet. A global earthquake will occur to stop man and his wars, and to get his attention. Then the first four trumpets will occur. The 144,000 will preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, so all can hear God's truth and each person will make a decision for or against the gospel.

I have decided to focus on God and His Word. We need to get ready for his coming wrath. The plans of man will come to nothing. God is in control and all that He has written will surely take place.

MidnightCry: Part One

It is very sad and dishearten to me that so many believe in myths because they do not study or research the facts. This is the case with some white Americans and African American as well. We lived in a society that provided history to read the way the subjectors wanted their subjects to believe. In our global society today the truth is revealed. The evidence that has been written in books stored in the Library is now presented on the internet for all to see what is true about the men who wrote and signed the Constitution. This will most likely be divided into two parts but it must respond too. I will respond to each comment made factually.

The Tea Party movement is not racist. I have not heard that they want to return to slavery and make women slaves to their husband. Where did you hear they want to kill all homosexuals? I think you are thinking of Islam and Sharia Law, not the Tea Party.

The Tea Party movement is based on the mythical Christian law exactly like the Sharia law. They both want nationally to force people to accept their beliefs or be punish. Are they racist, I along with many others say they are without any doubt!

On Sunday, in a last-minute fundraising appeal, Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee implored his supporters to help "return American government to the American people."

Again, who's in possession of the government right now, if not the American people? The non-American people? The un-American people? ByEugene Robinson

All this leads to the question: is the Tea Party movement really a racist organization in disguise?

The answer depends on examining what Tea Party movement really is. Most Americans would probably agree that the Tea Party holds a lot in common with the Republican Party. The conservative Fox News channel, for instance, especially TV-host Glenn Beck, was
fundamentally instrumental in the Tea Party’s rise. By: inoljt

Beck suggested Obama’s name is un-American. On the February 4 edition of The Glenn Beck Program, Beck said of Obama: “He chose to use his name, Barack, for a reason. To identify, not with America — you don’t take the name Barack to identify with America. You take the name Barack to identify with what? Your heritage? The heritage, maybe, of your father in Kenya, who is a radical?”

It is to say President Barack Obama named himself, how absurd and racist!

The Tea Party was formed because our government is too big and out of control. We need to return to the constitution and get rid of the nanny-state government that we have now.

As I stated in my original comment that the Tea Party may have started on certain political thought that I disagree with but they were political and not religious. However the majority were white and mostly Republican

This is totally untrue and here are the facts. The founding fathers were men of "The Enlightenment," who were Deists who did not believe the bible was true. They were also called "Freethinkers" who relied on their reason, not their faith. If you truly think that ancient civilization were backwards and running around naked than you need to read your Bible. The people before and after the flood were more intelligent than we ever were.

In the United States, "Enlightenment" philosophy (which itself was heavily inspired by deist ideals) played a major role in creating the principle of religious freedom, expressed in Thomas Jefferson's letters, and the principle of religious freedom expressed in the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. American Founding Fathers, or Framers of the Constitution, who were especially noted for being influenced by such philosophy include Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Cornelius Harnett, Gouverneur Morris, and Hugh Williamson. Their political speeches show distinct deistic influence.

Other notable Founding Fathers may have been more directly deist. These include James Madison, possibly Alexander Hamilton, Ethan Allen, and Thomas Paine (who published The Age of Reason, a treatise that helped to popularize deism throughout the USA and Europe). From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Deism was neither a Christian schism nor a systematic philosophy, but rather a way of looking at the human condition; the men called Deists differed among themselves on many points. (Thomas Paine often was called an atheist, but is more accurately described as a rather radical Deist.) Deism was an outgrowth of seventeenth- and eighteenth-century scientific speculation. The Deists professed belief in a single Supreme Being, but rejected a large part of Christian doctrine. Follow Nature, said the Deists (as the Stoics had said before them), not Revelation: all things must be tested by rational private judgment. The Deists relied especially upon mathematical approaches to reality, influenced in this by the thought of Sir Isaac Newton. For the Christian, the object of life was to know God and enjoy Him forever; for the Deist, the object of life was private happiness. For the Deists, the Supreme Being indeed was the creator of the universe, but He did not interfere with the functioning of His creation. Kirk, The Roots of American Order, pp.337-38

Then the first four trumpets will occur. The 144,000 will preach the gospel to the ends of the earth, so all can hear God's truth and each person will make a decision for or against the gospel.

Well Elohim was not pleased with the founding fathers of America as well. According to the History Channel and the Time Magazine Benjamin Franklin was link to various occult secret societies one in particular he was involved with what was known as the Hellfire Club that conducted black masses and orgies.

Jefferson was also a physical man. He, too, married a widow, Martha Wayles, in 1772. She died in 1782 after giving birth to their sixth child (only two lived to adulthood.) Jefferson never remarried, but carried on an affair in Paris with the wife of a painter and fathered several children with his slave, Sally Hemings, who was also his wife’s half-sister. Frank Daniels is the community conversations editor of The Tennessean

Within the broader world of popular opinion in the United States, the Founding Fathers are often accorded near mythical status as demigods who occupy privileged locations on the slopes of some American version of Mount Olympus. . . And much of the scholarly work focusing on the Founders has emphasized their failures more than their successes, primarily their failure to end slavery or reach a sensible accommodation with the Native Americans.

Although the Declaration of Independence mentioned “Nature's God” and the “Creator,” the Constitution made no reference to a divine being, Christian or otherwise, and the First Amendment explicitly forbade the establishment of any official church or creed. . . If there is a clear legacy bequeathed by the Founders, it is the insistence that religion is a private matter in which the state should not interfere.

. . . Once again, diversity is the dominant pattern. Franklin and Jefferson were Deists, Washington harboured a pantheistic sense of Providential destiny, John Adams began as a Congregationalist and ended as a Unitarian, and Hamilton was a lukewarm Anglican for most of his life but embraced a more actively Christian posture after his son died in a duel. (See also Sidebar: The Founding Fathers, Deism, and Christianity.) Joseph J. Ellis Encyclopedia Britannica, Inc.

Prior to prohibition, U.S. politicians known for growing cannabis include some of the nation's Founding Fathers and Presidents. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In reality, all drugs were legal during the time of Washington and Jefferson; neither of those men, having grown up in an atmosphere of actual freedom, would likely have ever thought to try to stop you from ingesting any substance you wished.Besides that larger point, in the American colonies and the early years of our republic, you could actually be arrested for not growing hemp, which was deemed vital to the economic health of the nation. By Steve Elliott

Above all, the conservatives argue that the Founding Fathers were more "moral" than you or me. They were like the Olympian heroes of ancient mythology, at least according to our conservative brethren. But conservatives are always looking backwards and not seeing very clearly. They have problems coping with present realities.

Benjamin Franklin 1706-1790 a womanizer, father of several bastards including a governor of New Jersey, rapist, sex with 15 year-old child, wealthy businessman and printer/publisher, inventor, spent 1/3 of his life in Europe. James Madison, Jr. 1751-1836 a wealthy and powerful family, widely believed to be homosexual, "Father of the Constitution," slave breeder, importer and owner of many slaves, scholarly, articulate, wealthy land owner and land speculator in Kentucky, representative, secretary of state, fourth president of the United states. Alexander Hamilton 1755?-1804 Bastard born to a penniless [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] on Nevis, West Indies, illegal alien, criminal, married money, daughter of General Philip Schuyler, captain in the Revolution, profiteer, pompous, involved in finance. William Samuel Johnson 1727-1819 British sympathizer suspected of treason and complicity, lawyer, member of state supreme court, president of Columbia College, senator, crook. George Washington 1732-1799 surveyor, military officer, blundering general, brewer, drunk, married money, suspected of homosexuality, slave owner, pompous, great accomplishment. By: Adolf H. Nixon

The only nations that were founded by Elohim is in the Bible and they are Canaan and Israel, the both fail because of sin. The Bible clearly stated that Elohim would come to the Indo-European people but never in the Bible or otherwise is it recorded that this nation was founded as a religious nation. It was founded on religious freedom, free thinking and the right to speak what you think. It also was founded on greed, hatred, racist, immoral act to individuality and to their own religious belief and practices but not collectively.

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. Isa 66:19

These names if you notice only deal with Japheth descendants and neither Shem or Ham.

I have decided to focus on God and His Word. We need to get ready for his coming wrath. The plans of man will come to nothing. God is in control and all that He has written will surely take place.

That is what we all should be doing which I whole heartedly agree.

stinsonmarri,

The Tea Party is not racist. You need to join one for yourself and check it out that's what I did. They are a group of people that love this country, the constitution, God, God's Laws, morals, justice... I could go on, but you get the picture.

There are many black people in the Tea Party movement. We are not racist. We just don't like the direction this country is going. We don't want to live in a socialist or communist country. We are a Republic, a nation of laws not of men. (Sadly, we are becoming the latter.)

I suggest you do some further reading on the founding of this nation. You should not get your history from the left wing, controlled media (the history channel, Time mag). They have an agenda. Our founding fathers were an amazing group of God fearing people. God truly blessed our nation!

The Tea Party believes in what Martin Luther King said: "I will judge a man on the content of his character, not on the color of his skin." That is what we all should do.

Most importantly, we should focus on God's Word and spreading the gospel. We need to remember that God is in control and His plans are all that matter.

No I do not get the piciture and some people want to believe in a lie. The Tea Party is racist they are attempting to stop blacks and latinos from voting. You just have blinders on because they claim to come in the name of the MOST HIGH. Out rageous money is being spent to get President Obama out the White House because he is black and his mother was white. Also because his name is a Muslim name that he had nothing to do with. There was a plot during his inauguration to get him out at all cost. The plot was to use blacks in the Republican party to bring up minister Wright again so it would look like the white people were behind it. Blacks are crazy to be in this Movement because you are being used. It is too bad that many of you do not hear what is going on behind your back-hatred. This is not about politic it is about sin call racisim and some blacks are worst than white. They hate their culture and refuse to accept who they are BLACK from AFRIKA!!!! ELOHIM is no respect of people but we are and it is a sham.

There are many black people in the Tea Party movement. We are not racist. We just don't like the direction this country is going. We don't want to live in a socialist or communist country. We are a Republic, a nation of laws not of men. (Sadly, we are becoming the latter.)

Wow, where have you been???? According to the CBS poll only 1% are black in the Tea Party Movement. Those like Cain from Atlanta my home time. Let's see he is a suppose to be Christian but have committing adultry for years. He has abuse his powers over women and he's a big liar. Finally with all that education that he has, he is quite stupid with his "nine, nine, nine" mess.

I suggest you do some further reading on the founding of this nation. You should not get your history from the left wing, controlled media (the history channel, Time mag). They have an agenda. Our founding fathers were an amazing group of God fearing people. God truly blessed our nation!

Wow again, let me advize you that I am an historian by degree and I read books years ago. I just gave you info that is now provided on the internet. Now where do you suppose you get your info, let's see oh the right wing folk like Glen Beck and Limbaugh.

The Tea Party believes in what Martin Luther King said: "I will judge a man on the content of his character, not on the color of his skin." That is what we all should do.

I should have known you go along with Glen Beck and slick witt Sarah Palin-the "bridge to no where." You ought to be a sham to class Martin King with these unspirtual and hateful people. I see what drum you march to and boy you are going to soon be shook into reality!

Most importantly, we should focus on God's Word and spreading the gospel. We need to remember that God is in control and His plans are all that matter.

These people do not spread the gospel, they spread hate and dispisement against people of color. As I stated and you already know that I am about the Bible, but I also still live in the real world. EGW warn that racist would come up again more powerful just before YASHUA comes back. That is also spreading the gospel truth that the Tea Party is not apart of ELOHIM.

Oh Wikipedia is not left or right wing and other writers I provided.

Peace my sister,

To all you Tea Party members I have one last thing to say and that is learned the lesson from Nebuchadnezzar:

This matter is by the decree of the watchers (The angels), and the demand by the word of the HOLY ONES: (You see even this king knows that there are more than just one god, but three ELOHIM.) to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth (YAHWEH the FATHER) in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever HE will, and setteth up over it the basest of men. (Just like Obama because you have in the past debased the black man.)[/font]That they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field, and they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dew of heaven, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the MOST HIGHT ruleth (YAHWEH the FATHER) in the kingdom of men), and giveth it to whomsoever HE will. And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto Heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the MOST HIGH, (YAHWEH the FATHER) and I praised and honoured HIM that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and HIS Kingdom is from generation to generation: And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and HE doeth according to HIS will in the army of Heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay HIS hand, or say unto HIM, What doest THOU? Dan 4:17, 25, 34, 35

It was YAHWEH that stay the hand of the Supreme Court and if we will not learn this important stay you will not be among those save in HIS SON'S Kingdom. You can not claim to love YAHWEH ELOHIM whom you have not seen and continue to down grade and hate your brother (Latinos and Blacks also Asians) who you see every day. YAHWEH is watching and many whose name were written in the Book of Life will be blotted out!!!!!

Well folks, those of us who live in a Democratic country where elections are held ever so often become responsible for the type of government we get.

I understand that 38 percent of the German people actually voted in the election that put Adolph Hitler into power. If that is the case, then Hitler took the reins because a small percentage in that election actually marked the ballot for him and the entire group who never went to the polling stations also voted for him. Dare we say that Hitler took power by winning the election with maybe 80 percent of the backing of the German population.

Remember, that German election cost 6 million Jews their lives, plus unknown numbers of Gypsies, Pols, along with the Christians who attempted to defended them. That is not to mention the soldiers from many other countries of the world who fought to remove one of the worst monsters this world has ever known.

An unmarked ballot is a vote for whoever wins, whether he is good or bad. No use crying over spilled milk after the election, if you didn't vote.

hmmmm, just seems a little ironic to defend the supposedly plight of the suppressed minorities and denegrating our founding fathers by quoting a ruler who enslaved a whole nation. Just sayin......

Bro Doc:

Do you know the history of the so call founding fathers? If so please provide it. Nebuchadnezzar did not enslave the people like the Indo-European did to Afrikans. My ancestors were sold like cattle with no respect or dignity. Daniel became a wise man in Neuchadnezzar's palace and eventually became a high rank officer for the king. Pray tell how the founding fathers treated the American Indians and the Afrikan people. This can never be forgotton nor should it be they were human just like the Indo-Europeans. It is an attempt to happen again and the Tea Party and all the new GOP Govenors are trying to suppress voters right back to the days of the Jim Crow laws. Women rights are also being targeted as well.

stinsonmarri,

The people in Africa that came here to be slaves were sold by their own kings. They were sold to the white man by their own people. So if you are going to place blame, you need to do a little more research and place blame on all parties involved, not just one group.

Nebuchadnezzar did not enslave groups of people? Were the Jewish people just in Babylon for an extended vacation?

You need to turn off the liberal media and try doing some research on current events on the internet. The Tea Party is not trying to enslave anyone. And women's rights are not being targeted. Where are you getting all this biased information? Are you one of the three people in the US still watching MSNBC, NBC, CBS?

OK, Within the group known as "founding fathers" there are two key groups: the signers of the Declaration of Indepence, and the framers of the Constitution(who were around 74 delegates to the Constitutional Convention), as well as the group that signed the articles of confederation.
The following seven were considered "key" figures: John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Washington.
Many wealthy northerners owned domestic slaves: Franklin later freed his slaves and was a key founder of the Pennsylvania Abolition Society. John Jay founded the New York Manumission Society in 1785 (slave abolition), for which Hamilton became an officer. They and other members of the society founded the African Free School in N.Y. city, to educate the children of free blacks and slaves. When Jay was Gov. of N.Y. in 1798,, he signed into law a gradual abolition law: fully ending slavery as of 1827. He freed his own in 1798.
Of the 55 delegates to the 1787 Constitutional Convention, 49 were Protestants, 2 were Roman Catholics. Among the protestants 28 were Wpiscopalian, 8 were Presbyterians, 7 were Congregationalists, 2 were Luthern, 2 were Dutch Reformed, and 2 were Methodist. A few were Anti-Clerical Christians, such as Thomas Jefferson (who created the Jefferson Bible) and Benjamin Franklin. Others, ( most notably Thomas Paine) were Diests, or at least held beliefs similar to those of the Diests.
The founding fathers were strong advocates of Republican values, particularly Samual Adams, Patrick Henry, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, George Washington, James Madison, and Alexander Hamilton, which required men to put civic duty ahead of their personal desires.
For women, "Republican Motherhood" became the ideal, exemplified by Abigail Adams and Mercy Otis Waren: the first duty of the republican woman was to instill republican values in her children and to avoid luxury and ostentation.

I dunno, seems like a pretty diverse and good group of patriots to me, just my opinion.

I lean Libertarian but haven't really followed the whole Tea Party movement. However, that piece posted is disturbing.

"Barack" is unamerican? Just disgusting. So one must have a European name to be American? It's fine for them to have their names but not others? I guess some people will not be satisfied until they erase the non-european. Was the past not enough? The majority of the African Diaspora don't even hold the names our ancestors. What happened to our peoples was completely inhumane.

Secondly, slavery has been occuring throughout human history. It is wrong, but those who sold are responsible for the act of selling - not the perpetuation of chattel slavery for hundreds of years. Further, slaves were acquired by selling and stealing. A minority can as indentured servants and were later enslaved. There is no excuse for what was don an the majority of the blame lies on those who committed the acts of enslavement over generations, which included robbing people of their heritage and cultures.

Even South Asians came to the Americas/Caribbean after slavery as indentured laborers for a supposed fixed term but were never taken home. They were often treated like slaves, beaten and shot at. Many also lost their names. Thankfully, it did not last nearly as long and those descendants were able to preserve and regain much in certain countries. Guess we shouldn't be allowed to have our names either though.

If the Tea Party takes issue with different names, why not return where their name comes from? I will never change my "unamerican name" and will give it to all my children. If that makes me radical, then fine. I will be radical until they stop being radical by using their European names and adopt African or Asian ones instead. SMH. Talk about unChristian views...wow.

Yes, at least some of them came to the light and ceased their enslavement of othe human beings. As for Jefferson, I walked the grounds of his university and anyone can see the dungeon type areas where the slaves were kept on the Lawn. One of my dorm was on a slave graveyard. Jefferson's Bible didn't really help him much i suppose. Anyway, the Founders were great thinkers, though flawed like all other humans. As diverse as they may be, they had difficulty standing for principle.
