I didn't watch the debate. All I need is to hear another heated discussion. I get enough of that with coworkers and kindergartners. (these are interchangable, BTW)
I also know who I'm voting for. It wouldn't have changed my mind.

Trust me. There was nothing heated about the "debate".

It's been awhile since we had a sermon worth taking notes on. I have high hopes from this new pastor. The first pastor our church had was there for 7, almost 8, years. She had more than just a casual acquaintance with Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. She could expound on the nuances of a single word in a passage and hold our wrapped attention. Then we had an interim who ran out of material and energy about 6 weeks into a year long gig.

I have the attention span of a ferret or a kitten... I can't keep my mind on the sermon for more than about 2 minutes at a time, though my mind does generally wander off on tangents generated by the sermon. Still, it's frustrating getting home and only having a very vague idea of what the sermon was about.

I don't think I've kept focused on an entire sermon (even when taking notes) in the past 5 years!

There once was an old woman who took a loosely woven basket to the river. She dipped the basket into the river and it filled to the brim with water. Every time she lifted the basket out of the river, all the water ran out. She never got a basket full of water to take back to her home. But the basket was cleaner.

It's me! My first ever Internet name was fuzzyguy (yes, I'll tell the story if you want to know) and I was a fuzzy purple alien from the planet Pluto.
