And I will refer you to all my responses, including the many you've ignored. Use the search function. If that's too hard, I can provide links?

What new information will the link supply that brings to bear on the question? Again, this isn't a reading club, but a discussion forum.Try clicking on the link.

For your information, I have read the parts of Craig's book that concern the magisterial and ministerial uses of reason. I even wrote a very short piece about it on my blog.I addressed it. For one who is all about reading books and reading different philosophers, you sure do seem reluctant to read people's works that contradict your own views.
For what you have ignored or evaded.LOL, what do I need to refer to your posts for?
Now now, don't go getting all upset on me.For your information, I have read the parts of Craig's book that concern the magisterial and ministerial uses of reason. I even wrote a very short piece about it on my blog.
Whenever your arguments fail, in desperation you resort to preaching.King Solomon once said that in the reading of much books is vanity and vexation. You have read a lot of books. Unfortunately, they seem to have been books full of error and falsehood.
Pull out the Bible, open it up and let God speak to you. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
What would I be upset by? Your refusal to answer the questions put to you? That reflects poorly on you, not me.Now now, don't go getting all upset on me.
For what you have ignored or evaded.
As I already indicated, it's not at all new to me. I've become familiar with it by reading the relevant parts of Craig's book and listening to apologists like you.It will all be new to you I suppose.
Either that or you are just pretending to be ignorant.
Nor do I mean that in any inflammatory way. Ignorance can be remedied and is not necessarily a character flaw.
Whenever your arguments fail, in desperation you resort to preaching.
Whenever you fail to emulate Craig, you opt instead to imitate Ray Comfort.Therein lies your problem. Anytime someone refers to something written in the bible you label it "preaching".
You have an aversion to the Bible, the things of God, specifically, the things of Christ.
So it is no surprise to me that you hold the views you do. You would be a very conflicted little fellow if you believed as I do, namely, that God knows every thought and intent of your heart.
But if what I say is true, then believe it. Let that be your evidence. Let that be your proof. Let the fact that the Bible describes you perfectly be the evidence that it was inspired by the one who knows the hearts of all men, yes, even your own.Whenever you fail to emulate Craig, you opt instead to imitate Ray Comfort.
Whatever you say, William Lane Comfort. But if what I say is true, then believe it. Let that be your evidence. Let that be your proof. Let the fact that the Bible describes you perfectly be the evidence that it was inspired by the one who knows the hearts of all men, yes, even your own.
You honor me.Whatever you say, William Lane Comfort.![]()
So I take it you're not going to bother addressing the questions put to you? You're going to leave the thread preaching instead. You honor me.
I am not worthy to be counted among those great men.
I will leave you with this thought, my last post in this thread:
You are right where you are in your life because God loves you.
Are you able to quote where I said that I was confident that no one can be confident about their beliefs? It was addressed to all of the people here. I was speaking of you specifically however.
"... a faith that seeks understanding" that requires a epistemology "... so liberal that it allows belief in any sort of far-fetched entity to be justified as simply foundational or basic. Someone might, for example, take as basic the belief that The Great Pumpkin is all-powerful, just as the Reformed epistemologist takes a similar belief in God as basic." - The Great Pumpkin ObjectionI agree with the distinction between the magisterial and the ministerial uses of reason. IOW, philosophy is rightly the handmaid of theology. As Anselm put it, "ours is a faith that seeks understanding."
