Do you really think you are helping and edifying others here? No.
I am here to attempt to respectfully dialogue with people who have views different than mine so that I may help and edify and encourage and in turn be helped edified and encouraged by being able to help edify and encourage others.
I observe the fruit produced from my experiences and compare it with God's word. If the fruit of my experiences are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-control, meekness, selflessness, and humility, and an acute awareness of my total helplessness without Christ working in me to will and to do His good pleasure, then I am persuaded my experiences are of God, for these are the fruits Christ bore while on earth. As He honored His Father, so I honor Him.
The question still stands: is what you are going on about an accurate description of reality?
It sure is.
Do you have any intention of substantiating that claim here in these forums?
I suppose we should take that as a 'no'.If God sees fit, yes. If not, no.
I suppose we should take that as a 'no'.
Could those things not be produced apart from that?
Hang on... an adherent of reformed epistemology? In other words, playing the "inner witness" card? I thought you said that you were open to reconsidering things? He of course, is not.
By the way, it may help you understand where I am coming from if I tell you that when it comes to epistemology, I am an adherent to the reformed epistemology school of thought as opposed to the foundationalist or evidentialist school.
Paul was wrong.Since Paul refers to the aforementioned as "fruits of the Spirit", then apart from the Spirit, these things cannot be produced.
Thank you for sharing that with me. It will help motivate me to seek guidance on how to best respond to such an objection. Thanks. This isn't any different from what you said earlier.
It's still nothing but confirmation bias.
Thanks for sharing that with me. It will motivate me to pray and seek God's will on how to respond to others who have the same response.Paul was wrong.

Yes. The likes I receive and private messages I receive from people that I have helped encourage me that my labor here is not in vain.Do you really think you are helping and edifying others here?
You are playing the "inner witness" card or you are open to reconsidering things? Those two are not compatible positions.I am.
Why not?You are playing the "inner witness" card or you are open to reconsidering things? Those two are not compatible positions.
Given that you explicitly stated your goal is to convert us, I would say - given the number of nonbelievers who have converted due to your efforts - your labors are indeed wasted. But that's not why I think you're here anyway.Yes. The likes I receive and private messages I receive from people that I have helped encourage me that my labor here is not in vain.
Because the "inner witness" card is played to declare triumph no matter what the outcome. It's there to prevent one from reconsidering one's theological commitments. Why not?

Oh ok. Thanks for sharing that. I have learned even more that I can now take and assimilate to help better understand people's views.Given that you explicitly stated your goal is to convert us, I would say - given the number of nonbelievers who have converted due to your efforts - your labors are indeed wasted. But that's not why I think you're here anyway.
Then in what sense are you an adherent of deformed epistemology?Oh ok.
Yea I don't have such a "card".
