  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I was going to buy this book yesterday, I think it's called How to Live in a Complaint Free World... well, anyway, it didn't get good revues. So, I figured, I can just institute the principle without buying the book. And that is to wear a purple bracelet (you know, like the kind the kids wear that look like big rubberbands) to remind you not to complain for 21 days. I figured, I can wear a piece of jewelry with a amethyst (purple) in it, to remind me the same thing.

I was going to start today, but realized that I've already complained today. So... I figured March 1st would be a nice clean start.

Fingers crossed.

Since I have a little while before my pact kicks in...

My pet peeve, is when my husband insists on me telling him he's right, even when he's not right, just because he wants his ego stroked.

Oh...and in case you're reading something into this, let me just say that I agree with him a lot. Quite often in fact. And there are many times when I just don't say anything, rather than argue with the man. But, he really gets off on me acting all submissive and brainless for him. He's a glutton for it. It's not enough that he may or may not be right, he needs me to be wrong! And not only that, to admit that he's right and I'm wrong, as if stomping on my self esteem makes the victory sweeter.

It hurts my feelings. I mean really, isn't this the sin of pride? I mean, he knew I had a brain when he married me. Why does he need me to act like a soul less, shell of a person without one now?
