How were you ripped off? I've been using Paypal for many years and never had a reason for complaint.
I caught an obscure error* where their system did not add a gas station refund correctly. They fixed it when I brought it to their attention. It happened again at the same gas station who did not offer pay-at-the-pump.** I have not been back to that gas station, since.

*My PayPal history said that I received the refund, but the balance did not reflect it. (I reset the balance to this card every month.)
**To date, that failure does not occur when I pay at the pump.

I think it's because of Paypal is in Russia. So Paypal is not political adversary to them electionwise, no matter what they say, Lol!
Where did you get that misinformation from? PayPal is American, based in San Jose.

I don’t see how they could fine customers for posting anything. That makes no sense.

It was a hoax, even FOX reported that the report wasn't true. The very first video in the OP says it's not true at around 3:00.

I had a problem with Paypal, granted it was about 15 years ago. Someone broke through their security and used my account to "buy" an ipad for around $4000 which supposedly was to ship to Asia. Basically they were just stealing $4000 from my Paypal account with a fake transaction.

I both reported it to Paypal as fraud and reported it to my bank as my Paypal account was attached to my back account. My bank immediately returned the money to my account. Paypal weeks later acknowledged the fraud and also deposited the fraudulent amount into my Paypal account. I had now been reimbursed twice, but since Paypal had been the one whose system allowed the fraud to occur, they were in my eyes responsible, so I settled things accordingly with my bank. A few months later, Paypal came to me and asked for the money they had refunded back since I had also contacted my bank. I told them "no" and that my bank shouldn't pay for their mistake. They said my account was restricted until I paid them back.

We've been at that impasse since then I guess, though I've moved and no longer have the email address associated with the account. I have to say I haven't had any challenges not having a Paypal account so I really have no motivation to try and close this with them. I also don't have a desire to use them since they felt like my bank should be the one to pay for their security mistake.
