Not a legal one, but I at least pay attention to what abuse survivors have been through.

Really though - people tend not to report crimes if it will result in them getting in trouble themselves. Basic stuff. That's why you don't tend to have abusers advertising the fact that they abuse.

Wow, because nothing encourages people to report abuse in families like a potential charge of child neglect.

What more stunning ideas from your background of legal training do you have?

We can stop well short of that and just head back into the ways things already suck.

Report the only one in the 'family' with a paycheck and he goes to jail and the rest end up on the street or if lucky in a shelter. At the very best worse off in the short term. At the worst dead on the street.

EDIT: Sorry I forgot, there are worse things then dying, and a lot of those happen to the helpless on the streets.

It's kinda obvious that the criminal is to blame..... Do I have to mention it?

And in the third post, I mentioned the school's failure to respond earlier to the 12 days situation.
