  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Your god does. A sensible god wouldn't "outrank" his own creation.
He not only can (and does) outrank it, He is going to destroy it and remake it.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

I guess, according to you, that makes Him 'insensible'?

Yes, yes, we know it's going to happen in Ma..., no, er Oct. Yeah, that's the ticket, October 21,2011!

Coming to a city near you, reality to be outranked by god on Oct. 21, 2011.:prayer:

From one of your guys www:

"Thus we can be sure that the whole world, with the exception of those who are presently saved (the elect), are under the judgment of God, and will be annihilated together with the whole physical world on October 21, 2011, on the last day of the present five months period. On that day the true believers (the elect) will be raptured. We must remember that only God knows who His elect are that He saved prior to May 21."

I'd quit while I'm behind, Frenchy.

You're only making yourself look worse.

That passage in 2 Peter occurs after the Millennial Reign.

This one is not a True Christian. He is a date setter, who you should not listen to.

The real True Christians are those who say that the End of The World will come, as NASA announced, in 2036. Or those who say it comes "within their lifetimes". Or within a generation of whatever event they want to say marks the beginning of the end.

The trick is to be able to move the date long enough until either you or your critics are dead... this effectively removes all criticism as well as any responsibilities.

Why are you telling me this? ^_^

BTW, 1/2/ Peter, Gospel of Peter, Acts of Peter, and the Apocalypse of Peter are all forgeries. So where does that leave your "Millennial Reign?"

Actually the talk started back around 1996. Bill Gates even jumped on the band wagon insisting everyone had to have a new computer at the start of the year 2000. They cleaned up pretty good making money on that one. I think that as we get closer to the 2000 year anniversity of the church that people will start to write books and try to cash in on that. I talk about 2029 & 2036, but for now this has not really gotten popular and caught on yet.

He is going to allow people to destroy themselves. Right now God is restraining them. From what I understand the president always has a button with him that he can push and destory the world.

God is "insensible" for allowing people to have what they want and to do what they want?

People want the earth to be destroyed?

No. 'Insensible' means stunned or unconscious. It does make him senseless, however.

Looks like you guys aren't being guided by the Holy Spirit to the same answers... funny how you both peddle it as "the truth."

I'm surprised you need clarification.

Ah, so when you ask if God can "outrank reality" you are just asking if God can perform miracles.

Well then, let's try this...

Can Obi-Wan Kenobi use the force? I think you'll find the correct answer to this question is exactly the same as the correct answer to your question.

Notice the triad of triads here as well?

  • time = past, present, future
  • space = length, width, height
  • matter = gas, solid, liquid

lol, you haven't studied much past primary school, have you? There are many more than three states of matter.

1 The three classical states

1.1 Solid
1.2 Liquid
1.3 Gas

2 Non classical states

2.1 Glass
2.2 Crystals with some degree of disorder
2.3 Liquid crystal states
2.4 Magnetically ordered
2.5 Microphase-separated

3 Low-temperature states

3.1 Superfluids
3.2 Bose-Einstein condensates
3.3 Fermionic condensates
3.4 Rydberg molecules
3.5 Quantum Hall states
3.6 Strange matter

4 High-energy states

4.1 Plasma (ionized gas)
4.2 Quark-gluon plasma

You gonna go and find this much stuff for all the other things you mentioned in order to keep them symmetrical, or are you gonna claim that this stuff doesn't count?

I'll stick with the classical.
