The show is highly interconnected. In other words, there are so many developments as the show goes on that you would be lost. There are tons of reoccuring characters and references to past predicaments that you would be out of the loop. I highly recommend just watching the DVD series from the first season in order and I almost guarantee you'll develop a stomach cramp from laughing so hard. That show is the greatest. Along with King of Queens, it is the funniest show ever made. Like I said, King of Queens is the only show I like as much if not a little more than Seinfeld.

Definately think the show is beloved by many. It's just that on many things it was hard to understand what was going down. Would take me awhile to catch onto it, as I had to do with shows like "Friends" or "Golden Girls"

Story Arcs tend to do that, as it concerns having to not miss or skip a beat if wanting to ensure that you understand the full range of humor/meaning of jokes. If I have the time and feel up to it, I may consider going through it so I'm not like the man in a crowd laughing with everyone else for the sake of keeping up...and yet having no clue what the joke was on:)

I'll give you an example. In one episode Jerry Seinfeld tells George Costanza that he's going to try to stake out a girl he met at a party. He had the hots for her, she flirted with him, but he didn't get her number. But he does know she works at a lawfirm downtown. He knows the building and the firm. He plans on conveniently "running into" her there. George wants to tag along. He wants to pose as an architect named "Art Vandaley." That joke about George being Art Vandaley goes through the series up until the very last episode when they're tried in court by a judge named Judge Vandaley. Throughout the series you hear about "importer/exporter" and "architects" and "Vandaley."

Just watch this three-minute clip and you'll see what I'm talking about...this show is addictively funny

Not really catching it, as it's cute--although I wasn't laughing my tail off. Different strokes for different folks, I guess :)

Did you get my message, by the way? For I never got what it was you were trying to send me, although I did say you could resend if (as shared here in #214 )...

Well I'm not saying it's the biggest knee-slapper of all time, but you need to see it to get the other times they reference the jokes. It's a story arc, like you said

This episode was like years later...

Again, give it a shot, really short

Honestly, it's probably gonna be one of those delayed effects where I may end up laughing alot more as the week goes by.

You just have to watch the ENTIRE show and get into it to get to know the characters and have a good laugh.

I was responding to "The Latest Salesman" gig you responded to which you said was short. Obviously, watching the entire show is necessary--although I really don't have the time for doing that at the moment

No real loss :)

Bahh, you won't even give the show a try so you don't get it. You just have to give it a chance. If you have time to watch the other shows that compete, you can watch Jerry, George, Elaine, and Kramer! You're the only person I've ever met that doesn't find the show hilarious. Even most of the people in my life I can't stand like Seinfeld! it's one thing we can agree on! Seinfeld could be the one thing that might bring Muslims and Jews together!

Going through it and the time I have available, it's not really worth it--and like I said, humor is different for everyone. Already saw enough episodes to know that it's not my forte...although I do love my boy Jason Alexander (who played George Costanza ), as he did make me laugh on a number of occassions...and he also won my heart in the series called "Duckman" (as he played the main voice--and had me rollin everytime I saw it).

"Seinfield for worldpeace" :p

Seriously, I can point you rather quickly to a host of folks that were not die-hard Seinfield kats.

My theory is that it is humanly impossible to possess a sense of humor if one doesn't like Seinfeld. This isn't a to each his own situation, it's comedic blasphemy! It's like people who don't like Laurel and Hardy or Abbott and Costello. They deserve deportation. To reject Seinfeld merits, IMHO, a firing squad. Don't make me turn you in!

By all means, Bring out the guns and try to arrest me for rejecting Seinfield..or at least, not supporting the heresy of glorifying the show above all:cool:

Respect the theory, although I'll go with the theory of diversity of humor and one not being bad for hating another..no different than saying someone who doesn't love the beauty of rap/hip hop doesn't automatically have a hatred toward music (in the eyes of those who love it).

Blessings to all the folks who do love the show and may they live long/prosper...

I AGREE.

"Smarter than me? I don't want anyone smarter than me!
"How could she be smarter than you???"

And until I began working at a law office, I could not appreciate "Suzie, call Dr. Bison. Set up an appt for Mr. Kramer. Tell him it's for me."

Jackie is THE GREATEST! How many times did he make those calls to Dr. Bison anyway? LOL....

"She's flaunting society's conventions! It's lewd, lascivious, salacious, outrageous!" :p

If EasyG doesn't like Jackie, I might have to call the CIA on him. "The Company" just might find that sedicious, outrageous!
