Jerry Falwell Dies After Falling Ill

A Liberty University executive told the AP that Falwell, a leading Christian conservative televangelist, died Tuesday.

Falwell was hospitalized in "gravely serious" condition after being found unconscious in his office at Liberty University, a school executive said. ...

I was curious as to the MJ opinion of this man who was quite controversial in past years.

Way before I was Messianic, I had a Christian opinion of Jerry Falwell. LOL I always thought he was too far off in one direction... controversial... another televangelist who screwed up publically and made Christians look like hypocrits...

I'm sorry for his family's loss. No matter what someone believed or didn't, they have family who is left behind and that's rough.

My best wishes for peace and care for his family. But as a thinker, and as a person, my opinion of him was always fairly low to be honest.

Dr Falwell was a friend of Israel and a friend of Jewish Missions. He held very strongly to the "Rapture" ideas, but was a very learned and wise man. He will be very sadly missed.
He was one of those "constants" who are much needed.

Before I was born-again, I couldn't stand the man. Afterwards, well, my opinion did a 180. He was one good preacher, that's for sure. He'll be missed, especially by his Liberty students who loved him to pieces.
