CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I hate to leave this bountiful table but I am off on a mission trip with my youth group for the next week in Chattagnooga TN! Hope everyone has a blessed week ahead!

All of this sounds great! We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches everyday for lunch and Mexican food every night for dinner while I was away! While I love Mexican food, 5 days of it was enough to do me for awhile! Bring on the lasagne!

Fresh raspberry pie!!! Come and get it!!
How fresh?? I still have the scratches from picking the berries. (which explains where I have been lately.)
Aside from that, I have had to put away the yarn for the summer. Just too hot and sticky to work with it or have a half a blanket on my lap. So I'm into thread work. Finished a pretty blue/green/tan doily and am now working on one in shades of purple.
Also found out that "no good deed goes unpunished". I wrote to a publisher to compliment them on a neat little scarf book they just put out and to ask if they would be doing more in the series. They sent me back a nice letter saying yes, and as a token of their appreciation they sent me a $20 book of baby patterns! Unfortunately, my niece is too big for any of the stuff, but my semi-adopted sister is expecting in August and my best friend has a nephew who is 3 months old so........ So many patterns, so little time
