  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I do the corn with lots of butter, salt and pepper, and then wrapped in tinfoil. Is that alright with you?
That sounds good. I have not tried it that way. We usually keep it in the shuck and grill it. As long as it's roasted regardless of how it's done, I'm sure it's good! :yum:

And home-made ice cream-the perfect treat!

What a great fellowship thread! I hope you guys don't mind if someone who was born and brought up Methodist, but found the Episcopal Church's sacramental worship a bit more to his personal taste, drops in from time to time, like a "circuit rider." :)

Yeah, it's that whole "Love thy neighbor" thing. Even if thy neighbor brings a green bean casserole! :p (Just teasin' ya a bit, bigsierra!)

My pastor made a great analogy yesterday: He was talking about getting along with each other in the church and he said just like you can't pick your family, you can't pick God's roster at church. I think that also goes for Church with a capital "C". For the most part, we don't pick whose sitting beside us. Might as well learn to love them and get along best you can.

overnight, sorry to hear you have been sick but glad you are back to join us!
